What ACTUALLY SCARES US about ACAPULCO, MEXICO

Acapulco, Guerrero is considered the 2nd most dangerous city in Mexico. We spent one week there and this happened...
► Rocket Languages:
► Get a $30 CASH BONUS from Rakuten:

We're an American couple who has been traveling in Mexico for over two years. During our travels, one state that nearly everyone told us to avoid was Guerrero—specifically the city of Acapulco. People said that Acapulco was extremely dangerous and we should never go there. The truth is, we have visited other cities in Mexico that people claimed were too dangerous, but we didn't actually feel unsafe in those places. That made us wonder: is Acapulco ACTUALLY one of the most dangerous cities in the world?

Find out what we think of Acapulco in this video. We're exploring the city for one week to find out how safe / dangerous it really is for foreigners. What we're learning is that Acapulco, Mexico is much different than the version of it you've probably seen on the news and social media. We can't deny that bad things might happen in the city, but we don't believe Acapulco deserves such a bad reputation in 2020. In fact, we had a really fun time during our week in Acapulco and want to plan another trip here SOON.

WHAT WE DID IN THIS ACAPULCO VIDEO
- We bought fresh coconuts from a street vendor with a quirky sense of humor.
- We ate breakfast on the beach of Acapulco looking out at the bay.
- We saw whales breaching while watching a breathtaking sunset from the famous Hotel Los Flamingos.
- We explored a local craft market and chatted with a kind-hearted vendor selling handmade pottery from a nearby town.
- A local Mexican family invited us into their home to enjoy a home-cooked meal, dance, watch the sunset from their rooftop balcony, and celebrate birthdays.
- We experienced, Disco Buses, a wild form of transportation in Acapulco with elaborately decorated buses, LED lights, and loud party music. It's a very unique experience! This was probably the most dangerous thing we encountered in Acapulco but we'd totally ride one again.

The Oaxaca They Don't Want You to See (Part 1)

We are in Oaxaca, Mexico in the El Centro area. We interact with several different local people and just take in the culture of the area. I am joined by my friend Billy who I met at my hostel called Iguana Hostel.

The local people of Oaxaca are some of the nicest Mexican people I have ever met. They are very warm and welcoming and make Oaxaca a one of a kind place. If you are traveling through Mexico, I highly suggest visiting Oaxaca.

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE in 2021 ✈️ the prettiest town near Mexico City?

???? April 27th, 2021 ▶️ On my next stop during my Mexico 2021 Trip, I enjoyed the beautiful town of San Miguel de Allende. Possible the prettiest of Mexico's Pueblo Magicos, located just 270km northwest of Mexico City. The main attractions here are the gorgeous colorful streets as well as the Parroquia San Miguel Arcángel Church, which was actually inspired by a European Gothic Church and finished in the 19th century. What is your favorite Pueblo Magico in Mexico? Let me know in the comments below! ???? UPDATE: I just found out that its actually not a Pueblo Magico! Haha

ACAPULCO, MEXICO - Welcome back to Mexico amigos! This is the second video from Acapulco, Guerrero on the south coast of Mexico. In this video we are coming away from the main tourist strip and highlighting some great things to do in Acapulco which are out to the west of Acapulco Bay.

Firstly, we check out the Zocalo area, before heading to the famous La Quebrada and El Mirador Hotel, then to the small Playa Caleta before heading back to the Zocalo on the bus for some cheapass tacos de suadero.

Acapulco was once THE place to go in Mexico, particularly for political figures such as the Kennedys, and celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley as well as Mexican actors and artists. La Quebrada is known for cliff diving into the shallow waters below, it's a stunning area of Acapulco!

We also touch on the subject of deterioration and impact on the tourist industry in Acapulco, which is clearly evident in many areas. But screw that, Acapulco is a gem, and in my opinion, far more interesting than Puerto Vallarta or Cancun in terms of the history relating the glitz and glam of the 60s!

MUSIC - (all Epidemic Sound)
Diner Dreams - Gary Combs (Intro and Outro)
Go Go Boots - Hakan Erikkson (La Quebrada section)
