Welcome to our video on the top things to do in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. This charming coastal town on Mexico’s Pacific coast is known for its laid-back atmosphere, stunning beaches, and vibrant local culture. Here are some of the best places to visit and activities to enjoy in Zihuatanejo.
Start your trip at Playa La Ropa, Zihuatanejo’s most famous beach. With its calm, clear waters and soft sand, it’s a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing. You can also enjoy a variety of water activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, and parasailing. The beachfront is lined with restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy fresh seafood and cold drinks.
For a more secluded experience, visit Playa Las Gatas, a quieter beach accessible by boat or a short hike from Playa La Ropa. Food Guide in Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo
Fresh. Local. Authentic. This sums up the food in these too seaside towns. Obviously, a focus is on fresh seafood--so many different fish varieties are available--all with a Mexican twist. I found the food to be much lighter than in other areas of Mexico--we are on the beach after all! And of course, the fresh local fruits were delicious. Don't forget the drinks! Margaritas are especially good at the Capella Resort bar, as well as mezcal over at Angustina.
Breakfast at Sabores y Colores and vegan treats at Mito were both great ways to start the day. Lunch at the beach was delightful at the open air La Perla and my favorite dinner was on the sand at La Marea, the beachfront dining at the Viceroy Zihuatanejo

The Best Seafood Restaurant In Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Mexico 🇲🇽🍤
On today's day off I'm heading out to the Marina area of Ixtapa in search of the legendary Seafood Restaurant, Fishers.
It's a bit pricey but all of the food is delicious and 100% recommended, plus it's still way cheaper than any seafood restaurant I've been to.

ZIHUATANEJO DAY 3 VLOG | the cutest café, amazing food, flaming dessert beverages & pickle ball
From flaming dessert drinks on the beach to the BEST breakfast and cutest café to the fabulous everyday temps, it was another amazing day in Zihua! Day 3 in Zihuatanejo began with an incredible breakfast for a great value at El Café de Don Andrés. I ordered paquete 3 for $95 pesos and was blown away by the presentation, the quantity and value for the price! I can't wait to eat there again! We toured the Zihua Archeological Museum, shopped in El Centro, celebrated the 8th anniversary of Pickle ball in Zihua with a large group of players in the area, enjoyed a mocha at a sweet little coffee shop called Ubuntu, had an incredible dinner at Coconuts and wrapped up the night with flaming dessert cocktails on the beach at Maderas followed by dancing and music at Barracruda Bar. Located on Playa La Ropa, the best beach in town, this resort does not disappoint.
