We Tried Delicious Polish Food in Krakow, Poland
It's our final day here in Poland and so many of you said that you cannot leave Poland without heading towards Krakow to try some tasty Polish food.
We woke up super early to catch the train from Warsaw to Poland (which takes around 3 hours to do). Upon arrival we started looking for a yummy breakfast snack and if you're in Krakow you need to try Obwarzanek krakowski which is the Krakow bagel.
After exploring the largest old town market square in Europe we headed out to find some Polish street food a Zapiekanka which totally reminded Jess of her childhood.
After all these savory snacks we wanted something sweet and you guys know we love trying donuts from around the world - so we had to have a pączek from Stara Pączkarnia.
Before we catch our train back to Warsaw we needed a proper lunch so we went to Bar Targowy to have some Polish Dumplings.

We found the BEST POLISH FOOD in KRAKOW! 🇵🇱 - Polish FOOD TOUR
In this week's video we spend the day exploring Krakow and its amazing food scene. Did we find the best polish food in Krakow? And is it Poland's best food city?
We begin our day by visiting Okrąglak, a popular food court and market. It's here that we try one of Poland's most popular street foods—Zapiekanka. They were so delicious, we decided to try two! We then head towards Judah Food Market, one of many food markets in Krakow, featuring a variety of different food trucks. However, we were here to check out one specific truck for a dish called Maczanka Po Krakowsku, a Polish pulled pork sandwich, which was to die for. Next, we make our way towards the Vistula River—but not before stopping by Słowiańska Uczta Pierogarnia for some takeaway. Once we arrive, we try Zurek, a rich soup soured with fermented rye, served with a boiled egg, potato, and a meaty kiełbasa. We then try out three different types of pierogi, including meat & cabbage, duck with orange and cranberry, and a chocolate and banana dessert pierogi. From here, we visit a popular late night spot, Kiełbaski Pod Halą Targową, for some Polish sausage. Our last stop on this Krakow food tour is Dobra Kasza Nasza. We start off with some Polish beers and fried Tatra Mountain cheese. We then move on to the main course, baked groats, with a variety of salads. We decided to finish the meal with some Polish apple pie, or Szarlotka.

We're in Krakow, Poland! The second biggest city in Poland and one with a vibrant Polish food culture. We eat a street food icon, the zapiekanka an open faced sandwich topped with mushrooms, cheese and ketchup at one of the first food restaurants in Krakow before heading to a Bar Mleczny, a milk-bar a cafeteria style restaurant serving up simple, affordable Polish fare. Milk bars were former state subsidized diners and at the height of communism there were 40,000 across the country. Now, there are only about 150 left but they remain a place to get wholesome, hearty food. We end our day of eating at a local restaurant that specialises in pork knuckles! 2. Kotlet Meilony (minced meat cutlet), Kotlet Schabowy (pork schnitzel), Kapusniak (sauerkraut) soup and kompot at Bar Mleczny Targowy, aleja Ignacego Daszyńskiego 19, 31-538 Kraków. Open Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday to Sunday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
3. Golonka (pork knuckles) at Restauracja Golonkarnia, Tadeusza Kościuszki 42, 30-105 Kraków. Open 11:00am to 10:00pm.
