Kerala Literature Festival (KLF), founded in 2016, is an annual literary festival held on the beaches of Kozhikode, Kerala, India. The Festival on the beach is a non-aligned platform, committed to providing an open and liberal forums for debates and discussion to foster progressive discourses.
Kerala Literature Festival is organized by the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation, a philanthropic organization founded in 2001 as a tribute to late D.C. Kizhakemuri a freedom fighter, social activist, writer - publisher considered as the doyen of Indian publishing, and known as the father of paperback revolution in India, who took books to the masses.
A trip from Kozhencherry to Kozhikode. Abhi and myself started our journey early in the morning from Chengannur railway station. We had idiappam, egg curry and tea for breakfast and reached Kozhikode in 4 hours. I had received an invitation from DC books to participate in their Kerala Literature Fest. I felt very lucky to share my experiences and interact with the crowd there.
കോഴഞ്ചേരിയിൽ നിന്നും കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്ക് ഒരു യാത്ര. അതിരാവിലെ ചെങ്ങന്നൂർ റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വന്ദേഭാരത് എക്സ്പ്രസിൽ കയറിയാണ് ഞാനും അഭിയും കൂടി യാത്രയാരംഭിച്ചത്. ഇടിയപ്പവും മുട്ടക്കറിയും ചായയുമടങ്ങിയ ബ്രേക്ക്ഫാസ്റ്റൊക്കെ കഴിച്ച് ഏകദേശം നാലുമണിക്കൂർ സമയം കൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ കോഴിക്കോട് എത്തിച്ചേർന്നു. ഡിസി ബുക്സ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കേരള ലിറ്ററേച്ചർ ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുവാൻ എനിക്ക് ക്ഷണമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവിടത്തെ സദസ്സിനെ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുവാനും വിശേഷങ്ങൾ പങ്കുവെക്കുവാനും സാധിച്ചത് വലിയൊരു ഭാഗ്യമായാണ് ഞാൻ കരുതുന്നത്.
