Amman to Wadi Rum I Road Trip in Jordan I How to Rent a Car in Jordan I Travel Series I Vlog
In this episode i am showing, how i hired a car from a local car rental company and drove from Amman to Wadi Rum.
The total distance between Amman to Wadi Rum is around 322 Kilometers (200 Miles) and it takes almost 4 hours to reach there via desert highway / route no 15. Unfortunately I took a different route no35 which took 4.30 hours, a bit more than the usual route, therefore I reached quite late around 6pm to my camp.
Please note that it get's totally dark by 5pm in Wadi Rum, so remember to start before 1pm to reach here comfortably else driving in the dark may be a bit risky.
The road on route no 35 was smooth except for a small patch of 30 minutes, 2 hours before wadi rum in the mountain terrain

How to Travel Through Jordan | Luxury Bus from Wadi Rum to Amman
How do you travel through Jordan? The easiest way is by bus! After we get a ride from Wadi Rum to Aqaba from some fellow travelers, we take a luxury bus ride to Amman. The bus was the most comfortable form of transportation we have ever taken and the price makes it even better!

Jordan Travel: The Best 4 Day Trip (I Didn't Take)
In April 2020 I planned on taking a long weekend trip to Jordan. Needless to say it didn't happen, but here's what I hope it would have looked like if it did. The trip would have started in Amman the capital of Jordan. The next morning I would travel to Mt. Nebo and later the Dead Sea. I would stay at a balloon luxhotel that night in Petra where the next day in the early morning I'd get up to tour the world famous Treasury and other buildings. I'd come back to the Treasury later that night for a candle-lit walk to see it from another perspective. After staying one more night in Petra, the next morning I'd drive back to Amman to finish my quick trip to Jordan.

I drove from Wadi Rum to Petra by my rented car & stayed at Petra Cabin hostel, which is just 5-7 minutes walking distance from the Petra Visitor Center. I was fortunate to witness Petra By Night Show which is an incredible experience of watching main attraction of Petra called the Treasury in the candle lights. The local Bedouin people narrate stories about the Petra culture and its history. This 30 mintues show is indeed very entertaining, so if you are visiting Petra & staying overnight on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, then do watch this spectacular show. Next Day morning, I again went to this site (The Treasury) to see how it looks in the day time. It was simply breathtaking.
It took around 40-45 minutes to reach the treasury from my hostel. Walking inside the canyons of Petra is quite charming and you will be surprise to see the scenic views & the kind of technology used more than 2000 years ago by the Nabataeans who was an ancient culture of that time.
*Don't forget to get a perfect Instagram photo from a particular spot in front of the treasury.

Surely 4 days are not enough to explore a country as full of attractions and history as Jordan, but I tried to organize and make the most from all my time there. Exploring Petra, a camel ride sunset, a tour of Wadi Rum desert and a visit to the siuk of Amman .. surely with all these activities the time to rest during the trip was short, but I think that when you are in such unique places it is right to be like this!
