Now some of you may be wondering what it’s like to take transit from Chilliwack all the way to Vancouver. In this video, we’re going to do just that. This journey takes us from Chilliwack at Yale at Spadina, through to Lougheed Station, and onto the Expo Line to downtown at Granville Station.

【Vancouver101】How to Ride a Bus in Vancouver - in less than a minute #short
A quick video on how to effectively ride a bus in Vancouver
Step1: Look up your destination on map apps (Google Maps, Waze, Maps.me etc)
Step2: Find your bus stop (Be mindful of the bus stop ID and terminal)
Step3: Be prepared - Get your cash or Compass card ready (video on how to purchase a Compass card below)
Pro Tip: Send a text to 333-33 your 6 digit Bus Stop ID and Route number (1-3 digits)
Step 4: Tap the card on the reader machine OR pay cash in the machine
Step5: Take a seat or stand next to the pole
Step6: Pull the yellow line or push the red button to indicate you are getting off at the next stop. Best timing to do is right after the bus passes the stop immediately before yours.
Step7: Always thank the driver before you leave :D
