In this video, I visit Livingstone Zambia and visit the world famous waterfall. And then I fly over the waterfall in a microlight (kinda like a flying go-cart). David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer, is believed to have been the first European to view the falls on 16 November 1855, from what is now known as Livingstone Island, one of two land masses in the middle of the river, immediately upstream from the falls near the Zambian shore. Livingstone named his sighting in honour of Queen Victoria, but the Sotho language name, Mosi-oa-Tunya—The Smoke That Thunders—continues in common usage. The World Heritage List officially recognises both names. Livingstone also cited an older name, Seongo or Chongwe, which means The Place of the Rainbow, as a result of the constant spray. Victoria Falls is also known as 'The Smoke That Thunders' is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. Vic Falls is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and it's considered to be one of the world's largest waterfalls.
This video includes footage from the Zambian side as Zimbabwe borders were closed at the time. I witnessed Victoria Falls at the peak high water season when Zambezi River was in flood and the falls were most magnificent. The first part of the video from the walk along the falls where I got completely soaked and in the second part of the video, I'm taking you for a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls. What an Epic experience that was!

Visiting Victoria Falls from Zimbabwe and Zambia
Victoria Falls was a dream destination of mine for years. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, it is the largest waterfall on the planet and even more beautiful than I’d ever imagined!
While I visited in early 2017, my friends and I stayed at the Tongabezi Lodge and organized a visit through the lodge to see the falls from both sides (and from the air!) — it was unforgettable!

Standing at the Edge of a Waterfall in Africa | Travel Vlog
On the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe lies Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world. In a tiny section of the waterfall's edge, there's a small dent in the rock formation that allows you to stand on the edge of falls. This is called Devil's Pool. Although it may seem scary, it's actually really safe. In this video, I visit Devils Pool and stand on the edge of the world famous falls. If you're planning a trip to or within the continent of Africa and you're looking for adventure or beautiful scenery, I highly recommend visiting Devil's Pool. It has one of the most beautiful views I've experienced in all of my travels.

While Victoria Falls is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 metres (5,604 ft) and height of 108 metres (354 ft), resulting in the world's largest sheet of falling water. Victoria Falls is roughly twice the height of North America's Niagara Falls and well over twice the width of its Horseshoe Falls. In height and width Victoria Falls is rivalled only by Argentina and Brazil's Iguazu Falls.
Victoria Falls are formed as the full width of the river plummets in a single vertical drop into a transverse chasm 1,708 metres (5,604 ft) wide, carved by its waters along a fracture zone in the basalt plateau. The depth of the chasm, called the First Gorge, varies from 80 metres (260 ft) at its western end to 108 metres (354 ft) in the centre.
Both countries (Zambia and Zimbabwe) permit tourists to make day trips across the border to view Victoria Falls from both viewpoints. The numbers of visitors to the Zimbabwean side of the falls has historically been much higher than the number visiting the Zambia side, due to the greater development of the visitor facilities there.

The rapid development has prompted the United Nations to consider revoking the Victoria Falls' status as a World Heritage Site. In addition, problems of waste disposal and a lack of effective management of the falls' environment are a concern.
