Top Things to do in BELGRADE SERBIA!! Not what you expect! (Belgrade Travel Guide)

Travel Belgrade Serbia and you will be surprised!! When it comes to eastern European destinations, Belgrade often gets ruled out because of its reputation in Hollywood films as being a place for the shadier characters. But that's such a false conception of the truth. From our experience in Belgrade, Serbians were so down to earth and loved to have a good time. From their coffee scene to their nightlife, from their cultural sites to their historical museums, there is a ton to see in this city. This is our Belgrade Travel Guide.

OUR STORY
Hey! We're Olivia and Nathan ???????? A couple from California.

We met back in 2014 in Monterey, California. I (Olivia) was a senior in college & Nathan had recently moved back to the area after living in Italy.

After a few “deep life talks” (ones that were so foreign to me) and hearing about the lifestyle Nathan had been creating for himself for the last 6 years, I wanted to spend more time with him.

We started dating and I learned how he’d moved to Cambodia when he was 17, Germany when he was 18, Italy when he was 20, and was itching to travel again.

I was fascinated and wondered HOW THE HECK DID THIS GUY PAY FOR ALL OF THAT?

Nathan would work in California for 2 years, save every dollar he could, move abroad, find a job in that country, live there for 1-2 years and then do it all over again. Each time, he’d learn the language of that country, acquire new skills & make lifelong friends.

I was deeply inspired & wanted to travel with him. After 1 year of working our butts off and saving every dollar we could, we moved to Australia. We lived + worked there for 3 years (learned to speak perfect Australian lol) & created online jobs so we could continue traveling full-time.

We were traveling South America when covid hit, flew home and bought an RV to travel the US.

Down to earth, entertaining, and informative is our goal — we want you to feel like you’re experiencing the day with us.

Things To Do In BELGRADE, Serbia - TOP 11

Things To Do In BELGRADE Serbia. Belgrade Top 11. Belgrade is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe, and a city with the most turbulent history. Belgrade was the first attacked city in the First World War and the last city in Europe to experience aerial bombing in 1999. It sits at the junction of two major European rivers, Sava and Danube and with its rich history, beauty, interesting communist architecture and amazing atmosphere is one of the most interesting places on the Balkans. This was the capital of Yugoslavia and is now the capital of Serbia. Hi guys, my name is Rok and I’ve spent the last 9 years travelling around Europe as a tour guide and I can’t wait to show you Things To Do In Belgrade, Serbia.

Belgrade Serbia - Top things to do and see in Belgrade

Belgrade Serbia travel guide - Things to do and see in Belgrade
Belgrade (Београд), which means the “White City” is the capital and largest city of Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans. It’s one of the oldest metropolises in Europe, with settlements unceasingly remaining here for at least 7000 years. Belgrade rests on the relics of a prehistoric city. The first urban settlement was built in the 3rd century BC by the Celts. Due to its tactical location, the city has been conquered by the Celts, Romans, Goths, Huns, Ottomans, and then fought over by the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian Empires. It has been fought over in 115 wars and razed to the ground 44 times. Belgrade was bombed a few times in the 20th century, both in World War I and War War II and once again by NATO in 1999. As a result of its turbulent history, the capital of Serbia is an incredibly rich mosaic of different cultures, influences and styles with a unique atmosphere. Belgrade is known as the city that never sleeps and the symbol of great nightlife. It's perfect for a long weekend or city break, so don't miss these amazing things to do and see in Belgrade: 1. Republic square, 2. Knez Mihailova street, 3.Terazije square, 4. Kalemegdan fortress and park, 5. Club Terassa Lounge (located at Kalemegdan), 6. Skadarlija, 7. Nikola Tesla Museum, 8. Temple of Saint Sava, 9. Ada Ciganlija, 10. Kosancicev venac, 11. Zemun, 12. Lido beach, 13. Belgrade Beer Fest, 14. Savamala, 15. Cruise the Belgrade’s rivers, 16. Nikola Pašić square, 17. St. Mark's Church, 18. Try local food, 19. Check out one of the famous Belgrade museums or enjoy a stroll along Belgrade Waterfront, 20. Take a walk around Slavija Square, Kralja Milana and Nemanjina street, Balkanska street, as well as Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard - Belgrade’s most important traffic arteries, a shopping streets, and a testament to historical events.
Of course there are many more things to see and do in this lovely city. Belgrade is full of character, life and most importantly, Belgrade has some of the world’s best food.

Europe's Best Kept Secret | Belgrade Serbia

???? Epidemic Sound 90-Day Free Trial (Code: THEOTHERSIDE):

Belgrade Serbia was once the capital of Yugoslavia but now it's the party capital of Europe. Belgrade is also one of the most affordable capital cities in all of Europe! Serbia has had quite a turbulent past but now has emerged with a vibrant cafe culture, unique architecture, and a lively nightlife. Serbian food is so delicious too. Ana's dad grew up in Serbia and moved to America when he was 25. It was amazing meeting up with her family to get the authentic Serbian experience. We visited Kalemegdan, Belgrade Fortress, Ada Ciganlija, Knez Mihailova. This city is truly one of a kind

9 Reasons To Visit Belgrade | The Must See Attractions Of Belgrade | Can You Visit Serbia Solo?

Before I visited Belgrade, I wish I asked someone how many days should i stay in belgrade? So If you’re anything like me and you are thinking of skipping this city, here are 9 reasons to visit belgrade.

All I had in Belgrade were 2 full days and let me tell you that is not enough. However, if that is all you have as well then these are the 9 places to visit in belgrade in 2 days. Take your time. Enjoy and learn. If you’re a history and architecture lover, Belgrade is going to feel like heaven. The history is the best part about belgrade. My suggestion - Don’t underestimate Belgrade. From he outside Belgrade can look quite rugged and brutal. But that’s only because it’s been through a lot! That is not reason to skip it. Visit these if you don’t have time in Belgrade. These are the the must see attractions of belgrade.

If you don’t have sufficient time on hands or the weather in belgrade isn’t being supportive, then these are the must see attractions of belgrade. Additionally, I was quite terrified and scared by my near and dear ones about the safety for women in Serbia. So if you’re a woman and you’re wondering, can you visit serbia solo? Don’t wonder, just go! Serbia, like any other country is just as safe or dangerous as you want it to be. The overall crime rate is pretty low in Serbia, however pickpocketing is common. Ofcourse I didn’t encounter any of that myself. I found the people of Serbia kind and supportive and friendly.

All I’ll say is enjoy these top 9 must see places in belgrade and then if you still have time on your hands, explore the city further such as the Nikola Tesla Museum, have a meal in one of the local restaurants in Republic square, explore the hidden cafes and wine bars along the Sava river and so much more.

First Solo Trip Ever To Serbia | Before You Visit Serbia | Things You don't Know About Serbia!

For my first solo trip ever to Serbia, I did some extensive research about the country. So here's a list of everything you need to know before your first visit to Serbia.
I am hosting my very first group tour to Serbia. Sign up if you're interested to join me! -

With the pandemic going on, there have been so many alterations with rules and restriction, it's hard to get some clear information online. So this vlog will give you a run down on all the things you don't know about Serbia. Prior to my trip and after it, several other women travelers asked me did i feel safe in Serbia? And the answer is YES! The main cities such as Belgrade & Novi Sad are always bustling with people. Also, I made sure I centrally locate myself, so that everything is easily accessible to me.

I suggest take a pen and paper or starting typing in your Notes app, as these are things to know before booking your trip to Serbia in 2021. Before my visit to Serbia, I was quite nervous too but all those who've traveled solo in the past, were so motivating and encouraging of my decision. I strongly suggest you must visit Serbia in 2021. And visit it at least for 1 week, so you can enjoy all the sights of this gorgeous country.

Serbia is more expensive than you think!

SERBIA WILL SURPRISE YOU! Belgrade First Impressions | Serbia Travel Vlog

Don't miss this vlog - Belgrade will definitely surprise you! This is not the Serbia you expect | Grab a 2 month free trial of Skillshare Premium, only 500 available here —

Serbia... wow! Didn't expect we'd be in Belgrade making travel vlogs if you asked us a few years ago, but here we are, and we LOVE Belgrade! This place is an amazing, and very underrated, travel destination - let us show you why.

In this vlog we sort of cover both our initial impressions of Belgrade, how we feel about Serbia, our surprises and then at the end wrap it up after we've stayed for 2 weeks in Serbia. Theres lots of things to do in Belgrade - we visit the Fortress, explore a cute park, find an amazing restaurant scene, scope out the nightlife spots, eat some local(ish) food, check out the shopping scene and try some local craft beer.

First impressions last, or so they say, and it's true for Belgrade. How we felt on the first day is exactly how things stayed a few weeks later - it's amazing! We also took a road trip to Novi Sad for the day with friends, another popular spot in Serbia, but we weren't filming that day sorry.

Moral of the story - consider places like Serbia, cities like Belgrade, locations that the masses don't always chat about and share online. These are the cities and experiences we love, places like Belgrade are why we travel - hidden gems that we get to experience, travel, vlog and share with you... thanks us later.

Saint Sava Temple, Maska Bar & Pancakes! | Top things to do in Belgrade | Food & Travel Guide

In this Belgrade food & travel guide/ vlog we explore coffee culture in the main street of Kneza Mihaila. Visit the largest golden Orthodox church in Serbia. Check out a cool bar and drink local Serbian beer. Create a really bad beer commercial and finally eat a giant pancake. Belgrade is such a beautiful city and here is just some of the many things you can do here. I plan to make a few more episodes about my time in Belgrade so subscribe for future episodes.
