I'm not sure about the rules for each and every place as far as tiny homes or homesteading because the laws and rules are changing constantly. Do your own research about those subjects. This list is about the cheapest places to find land that you probably can do that.
A lot of cheap lands are going to be in Arizona and New Mexico but I found some other places in Alaska, Colorado, and Arkansas too.

Do I recommend them? Do I hate them? While I LOVE the concept of a 3d printed tiny home for under $10,000...that rarely ends up being the final price tag on these luxury modular homes. Now, I didn't want to just throw shade at the kit home industry and beg for likes, so at the end of the video, I'll be sharing a few companies in the pre-fab space that I respect.

If you're thinking about moving to AK, you doubtlessly know that some places can be more expensive to live in than others. Though this isn't a one-shoe fits all, nothing else matters but this one video, it will give you a good feel for approximate costs in certain parts of the state. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, as everyone's expenses are going to be different based on lifestyle. Also, keep in mind, just because $50,000 a year will stretch a long ways in some places, that doesn't necessarily mean it's easy to find a job for $50,000 in every town.
