Hiking the Three Capes Track in Tasmania had been on our bucket list for years, and completely surpassed our expectations! Known as one of the best multi-day treks in Australia, this 4-day, 3-night 48km trail follows the coast of the Tasman Peninsula, offering the most incredible ocean views you could ever imagine.
We booked our Three Capes Track experience independently rather than joining a full guided tour, and we're glad we did. The trail was perfectly maintained with signs the entire way, the cabins were modern and warm, and the beds (yes, beds!) were so comfortable it was hard to wake up in the mornings.
We decided to vlog the entire experience of our Three Capes Walk to show you guys exactly what it's like, and to set some clear expectations so you can go ahead and book it yourself in confidence. if you've ever wondered what the Three Capes hike in Tasmania is like, we hope you'll find all your questions answered in our detailed travel video guide.

In this video we are doing the multi-award winning “Three Capes Track” in the Tasman National Park, Tasmania.
This is a 4 day & 3 night hike, with a total distance of over 48km. The day starts at Port Arthur, where you catch the boat cruise which takes you to the starting point of the hike. During the hike we saw beautiful tall eucalyptus trees, cool temperate rainforest, coastal heath and Australia’s highest sea cliffs. There is also plenty of opportunity to see a plethora of native animals.
The hike is accessible to most able-bodied folks, and is classified as easy/moderate. Our advice would be to pack as light as possible, this will make the hike a lot more enjoyable. If you are looking for a multi-day hike in Tasmania, we would highly recommend this one.
