Episode 22 - The British Virgin Islands
In this episode we spend 16 days sailing in the British Virgin Islands. We had two sets of crew and sailed a couple of days just Jai and I.
Our itinerary was a typical charter itinerary, but we anchored more times than I ever have before in the BVIs. I've always thought of BVI as being full of mooring fields, but there still are quite anchoring spots available.
We snorkeled; shopped, ate and drank on shore; and even did some sailing.

Scrub Island in the British Virgin Islands via St Thomas—Baths, Caves + Painkiller Cocktail
The British Virgin Islands are some of the most beautiful Caribbean islands in existence. We know because we just returned from a week on Scrub Island in the BVI island nation.
We flew from Houston to St Thomas, where we caught a water taxi, checked into customs on Tortola Island, and headed to our resort. Over the course of our week of British Virgin Islands travel, we visited Norman Island, The Baths, The Caves, Virgin Gorda, and had a chance to try the world-famous Painkiller cocktail.

Virgin Islands National Park, St. John - History and Natural Beauty - USVI
The island of St. John (US Virgin Islands) offers its visitors the opportunity to explore its nature and history. The island is covered with dense jungle valleys that trickle down to pristine beaches. There are pockets of history tucked away in the jungle, that give a glimpse into the island's tumultuous past. These now protected ruins (Annaberg and Catherineberg) were built by the first settlers and slaves in the 1700s. Walking through them creates a sense calm and wonderment. The ruins now act as a sanctuary for spirits of past and present, which can be felt around them through the natural beauty and wildlife.
