Koh Samui is located in the southern Gulf of Thailand. It’s the largest island of the Samui Archipelago and the second-largest in the country. In this video, we’ll highlight 10 top things to do in Koh Samui.
10. Relax at the beaches
Our favorite beach in Koh Samui was Lamai, which is more relaxing than Chaweng but still has lots of tourist facilities and entertainment around.
9. Discover the Secret Buddha Garden (Tarnim Magic Garden)
Hidden high up in the hills in Koh Samui’s center, this garden is filled with unique statues and structures amid lush jungle surroundings.
8. Visit the Na Muang waterfalls
The Na Muang 1 waterfall is close to the parking lot and easily accessible on foot, while Na Muang 2 requires a short steep hike if you want to get closer to the falls.

7. See Koh Samui’s most mysterious rocks
At Lamai Beach, you can find two distinctive rock formations. Discovered by locals many years ago, these rocks were described as Grandpa (Hin Ta) and Grandma (Hin Yai).

Koh Samui offers Muay Thai boxing matches on almost every day of the week and the most popular place to watch them is the Samui International Muay Thai Stadium in Chaweng.

Koh Samui is a stunning tropical island located in the Gulf of Thailand. It's known for its pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, and lush green forests. But with so many areas to choose from, it can be challenging to decide on the best place to stay.
First up, we have Chaweng. This area is perfect if you're looking for a bustling nightlife scene. Chaweng has a wide range of bars, clubs, and restaurants to choose from, and it's also home to the island's largest beach. You'll find everything from luxury resorts to budget-friendly accommodations.
Next, we have Lamai, which is located south of Chaweng. Lamai is known for its laid-back vibe and stunning beaches. It's a bit quieter than Chaweng but still has plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. Lamai also has a great night market that's perfect for trying out local food and picking up souvenirs. Just down from Lamai is a beautiful secluded beach, Silver Beach. It doesn't offer a large range of accommodation options, but if you like a small quaint beach that in the evening feels like you have it to yourself - this may be the perfect place for you.
If you're looking for a more secluded area, then Bophut might be the perfect spot for you. This area is located on the northern coast of Koh Samui and is home to Fisherman's Village, a quaint town filled with boutique shops and restaurants. Bophut is perfect if you're looking for a quiet retreat, but still want to be close enough to the action.

Koh Samui is a paradise island in Southeast Asia. It is Thailand in a nutshell, with beautiful beaches, mountains, nature, night markets and mystical temples. I'm sure this video will get Koh Samui on your list. On a trip to Thailand you should definitely not skip Koh Samui. We stay in Lamai and visit Coral Cove Beach and Silver Beach. We also dive into the jungle to the Magic Garden and the Na Muang waterfall. We then sail by boat to heaven on earth, hundreds of small islands in And Thong! Along the way we see many different animals and it is one big adventure.
We are visiting Thailand on a one year world tour and we may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands and Brazil. Thailand is already our fifteenth destination. Follow us on this world trip, first in Thailand and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross to Oceania and Africa! Both of us were working in Sales and spent the last year and a half saving up, originally it was to buy a house but whilst we were stuck at home with none of the freedoms we were used to during the pandemic, we realised there was a lot more life had to offer and saw what an amazing opportunity we had to travel the world for at least a few years, and that it was the perfect time for us to do so.
From this, we booked our flights to Thailand, packed our bags and said goodbye to our friends and family to begin the adventure of a lifetime✈️

The most UNDERRATED Island in Asia (Koh Samui, Thailand)
This is the most underrated island in Asia. Here you can feed pigs on the beach and swim with elephants all in the same day. It’s called Koh Samui and is located in the gulf of Thailand. It only takes a 1 hour flight from Bangkok to get here. It’s so cheap, safe, and luxurious that you can even stay in a private villa with a pool and house keepers for as little as $45 per day or get an hour long massage for $9. They also have this secret garden with carved statues on top of a mountain, which was wild! And don’t forget their beautiful waterfalls - they were some of the most stunning I’ve seen anywhere!
