Southern Mountain Ridge Hike, Guam
From Southern Mountain Lookout to Mount Schroeder, 6 miles in just over 7 hours! Packed a gallon of water in, brought nothing back. Fantastic, beautiful, but challenging hike! Based on my Garmin we started at an elevation of 769 ft (Southern Mountain Lookout), crossed a peak elevation of 1290 ft. (crossing near Mt. Bolanos) and ended at 332 ft (at the pick-up vehicles). Average Temperature was 93 degrees Fahrenheit with a max of 99.
Hiking Guam's Southern Mountain Ridge Trail
If you take a drive down Route 2 on Guam's west coast, just before reaching Umatic, you'll see a marvelous mountain range cutting down the middle of the island on your left. This time, instead of taking Route 2, I decided to take the range.
If you are looking for an all-day hike on Guam, the Southern Mountain Ridge Trail offers the experience of a lifetime. It isn't an easy hike but it's a rewarding one. There are several ways to tackle this beast of a trail. I started at Mount Jumullong (parking at the Cetti Bay overlook) and headed south towards Mount Schroeder.
I would recommend bringing a long sleeve shirt/jacket, gloves, and long pants (do as I say, not as I do).

A beautiful hike down south with a refreshing swim in the bay. Its not a difficult hike, approx 1 hour one way. Once there, chill in the water or in the shade, fly your drone and enjoy the tranquility. If you need to get away and just embrace nature for a bit, I would highly recommend.

Mount Jumullong - GUAM
Take a trip down south to the mountains to hike one of Guam's best trails. Mt Jumullong is a moderate out-and-back trail with stunning 360-degree views of the island at the summit. Park at the Cetti Bay overlook and cross the street to find the trailhead. Don't worry if you can't find a sign for Mt. Jumullong (there isn't one). Ascend the Lam Lam trail until the trail forks at cross number 12 (take the path on the right).
At an average pace, you can reach the summit in 35-45 minutes. I would rate difficulty at a 5/10. The trail is not technical but it's uphill the whole way.

Inalåhan (Inarajan) Natural Pools, Guam | Drone Video
Håfa Adai! Enjoy as we explore the natural saltwater reef pools located in the village of Inalåhan. The name was recently changed from Inarajan to Inalåhan to reflect its original name before the Spanish colonists arrived. This beautiful area is referred to by many names including Inarajan Pools, Inarajan Natural Pool, Saluglula Pool, Saluglula Pools, and Salugula Pool. Inalåhan Pool or Pools should probably be added to the list.
The video opens with a view of the historic Saint Joseph Church. Spanish colonists established the church in 1680. Also visible within the video is Inarajan Bay to the north of the pools and Agfayan Bay to the south. The large outcropping of Asgon Point is also displayed at 1:02.

Enjoy driving toward the southern tip of the island of Guam and enjoy the food at Mc Kraut’s German restaurant in Inarajan, Guam. Enjoy the beautiful scenery away from the city lifestyle. The ride is about 1 hour to travel down south and back to central Guam. Most places are quite peaceful, quiet, and relaxing with less housing and more mountains and ocean. The scenery and views in the south are beautiful.
