We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Positano, Italy on June 2022.
Positano, also known as “the pearl of the Amalfi coast” or vertical city, is a cliffside village located on the Amalfi Coast to the South of Italy. The village became a wealthy market port of the Amalfi Republic from the 15th to 17th century and has only continued to grow in popularity over time. By the mid-nineteenth century, however, the town had fallen on hard times. More than half the population emigrated, mostly to America.
Positano was a relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the twentieth century. It began to attract large number of tourists in the 1950s, especially after John Steinbeck published his essay about Positano in May, 1953.
The town's rapid growth from a small fishing village to an international destination is credited to the rise of the tourism industry.
Our guided walking tour is about 2.8 miles (4.5 km) long and covers most attractions and historic sites of Positano.

One of my favorite destinations to visit anytime from May through September... simply paradise. This is a what summer looks like in Positano located on the Amalfi coast in Italy. Come take a walk down steep narrow roads, massive fortified walls, and pass by a series of all-important watch towers. When you visit, I'd also highly recommend checking out the nearby towns of Capri, Naples, Salerno, and Sorrento which are all accessible by the local ferries.

Amalfi is a town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast. It is the main town of the coast on which it is located, named Costiera Amalfitana (Amalfi Coast), and is today one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world. For its history, monuments and natural setting, Amalfi is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This remarkably scenic town boasts narrow alleyways that wind through the city's center and up the slopes, connecting the sea to the mountains. A trip to Amalfi rewards visitors with a peek into the region's lemon cultivation and handmade paper operations.
Amalfi was one of the first Italian cities to emerge from the so-called dark ages after the fall of the Roman Empire. It was the first of the Four Maritime Republics of Italy, including Genoa, Pisa, and Venice, and from 839 to around 1200 had the monopoly of trade with the East.At its peak, the population base of Amalfi was 80,000 people, until it fell to an invasion by both Norman and Pisa forces, followed by a storm and earthquake in 1343.Today, Amalfi is home to approximately 5,000 full-time residents.
Our guided walking tour is about 3 miles (5 km) long and covers most attractions and historic sites of Amalfi.

Positano Italy ???????? 4K Amalfi Coast Walking Tour 2022
This is a walking tour in Positano, Italy which is located in the Amalfi Coast. This is one of the most picturesque towns I have ever been to, with stunning views everywhere you look. Positano is also the most popular in the Amalfi Coast. I will start the tour at the eastern end, which is probably the more traditional way to start since you have an immediate view of the town as you are walking down the street. I will then make my way to the beaches and do a walk around before making my way to the top and ending with a view from the western end. This was taken in early March so it is not as packed but it the weather was still nice and it made walking around Positano enjoyable.

AMALFI COAST SUNSET WALKS | At The Hottest Time of Year | The Positano Diaries EP 133
Ferragosto (August Public Holiday) is the busiest time of year on the Amalfi Coast. It feels like most of Italy has flocked to the coast for some beach time. This year, due to Covid the Ferragosto festivities were all cancelled. So I have added footage from the end of a previous years fireworks display at the end of this video.
I drive up to Nocelle and just walked up the mountain from the top of the village.
We visited Capitan Cook Beach resort in Massa Lubrense. This is a private beach club so if you go in the day time you have to rent sun loungers and umbrellas. They also have a restaurant for lunch.
My friend Jac is a professional photographer, working with worldwide swimwear and fashion brands around the Amalfi Coast and Italy.
The wedding was held at the NH Collection Grand Hotel di Amalfi
