Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ???????????? Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

1.The Great Wall of China
2. Taj Mahal
3. Petra
4.The Colosseum
5.Christ the Redeemer
6.Chichen Itza
7. Machu Picchu

Taj Mahal; India
The white marble mausoleum is believed by many to be the best representation of Muslim art in India. The Taj Mahal was built around 1630, an order from Muslim emperor Shah Jahan, to honor the memory of his beloved late wife.

Petra; Jordan
Petra, located on the edge of the Arabian desert, was home to Aretas IV, king of the Nabataeans, who were masters of water technology. The facade of a 138 ft.—high Hellenistic temple on the El-Deir Monastery—an example of traditional Middle Eastern culture—sits within the Palace Tombs of Petra.

Machu Picchu; Peru
Machu Picchu, which means old settlement, is located halfway up the Andes Plateau—in the Amazon jungle and above the Urubamba River. Originally a 15th century Incan settlement, the magnificent city was lost for three centuries, then rediscovered in 1911.

Great Wall; China
The largest man—made monument ever built at about 4,000 miles in length, the wall was originally built to help create a united defense system and prevent invading Mongol tribes out of China. Construction began around the 8th century B.C. and efforts to revive it took place from 1368 — 1644 A.D.

Colosseum; Rome
Almost every sports stadium today is created based on the design of the Colosseum, built between 70-82 A.D. Located in the center of Rome, the amphitheater could seat up to 50,000 spectators who watched public spectacles like the infamous gladiator fights.

Christ Redeemer; Brazil
The 124-foot statue of Jesus stands atop the Corcovado Mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro. Built in 1931, it took five years to construct and symbolizes the warmth and welcoming spirit of the Brazilian people.

The Pyramid at Chichen Itza; Mexico
Chichen Itza once served as the political and economic center of Mayan civilization. The city housed masterpieces like the Temple of Chac Mool, the Hall of the Thousand Pillars, the Playing Field of the Prisoners and the pyramid of Kukulkan, which was the last Mayan temple.

???? Great Wall of China (China)

The Great Wall of China is an ancient wall in China. The wall is made of cement, rocks, bricks, and powdered dirt. It is the longest structure humans have ever built. It is about 21,196 kilometres (13,171 miles) long. Nineteen walls have been built that were called the Great Wall of China. The first was built in the 7th century BC. Though the Great Wall is over 6,000 kilometers long the best 10 sections to visit are near Beijing: 1) the best-restored, Mutianyu, 2) the most beautiful, Jinshanling, 3) the wildest, Jiankou, 4) Simatai, 5) Huanghuacheng, 6) Gubeikou, 7) Juyongguan, 8) Huangyaguan, 9) Shanhai Pass, and by far the most crowded 10) Badaling.

???? Petra (Jordan)

Petra is believed to have been settled as early as 9,000 BC. It became the capital city of the Nabataean Kingdom. The Nabataeans were nomadic Arabs who used Petra because it was near the spice trade routes. The Nabataean Kingdom became a client state of the Roman Empire in the first century BC. The 363 earthquake destroyed many structures. It stayed unknown to the world until it was rediscovered in 1812 by Johann Ludwig Burckhardt.

???? Christ the Redeemer Statue (Rio de Janeiro)

Christ the Redeemer (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor), is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 1931 until 20 30 metres (98 ft) tall. It sits on a 8 metres (26 ft) pedestal on the peak of the 700-metre (2,300 ft). It was built to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Brazil's independence from Portugal. The statue was built in France by the sculptor Paul Landowski.

???? Machu Picchu (Peru)

Machu Picchu is a pre-Columbian 15th-century Inca site in Peru, in South America. The Incas built the city on a mountain ridge, 2430m above sea level. They lived there between 1200 and 1450 AD. Other people lived there before about 650 AD. The Incas built houses, fields and temples by cutting the rock on the mountain so it was flat. They built an Observatory to look at the stars. When the Spanish invaded Peru, the Incas left Machu Picchu. Today, there is a new road so that tourists can visit. People can also walk along the Inca Trail, or take a train from Cusco.

???? The Colosseum (Rome)

The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is a large artefact or structure in the city of Rome. The construction of the Colosseum started around 70–72 AD and was finished in 80 AD. It is the biggest amphitheatre built by the Roman Empire. It was used for gladiatorial contests, and other shows like animal hunts, in which animals would hunt and eat prisoners; or in which gladiators would fight against animals. There were also executions of prisoners, plays, and battle scenes; sometimes it was filled with water to fight sea battles.

???? Taj Mahal (Agra, India)

The Taj Mahal is a white tomb built in the 16th century by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The building is in the city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Widely thought as one of the most beautiful buildings in the world, it is one of India's biggest tourist attractions. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with the Agra Fort, 2.5 kilometers away. It is located on the south bank of Yamuna river in Agra. The Taj Mahal is an example of Muslim Architecture – a mixture of building design ideas from ancient Indian Indian, persian, and mughal arts.

Chichen Itza (Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico)

Chichén Itzá is a large Mayan city famous for a large, pyramid temple built by the Maya civilization. It is on the Yucatán Peninsula, about 120 km to the east of Mérida. The temple, called Castillo, is about 1 km in diameter. There are many temples and pyramids at Chichen Itza.

Most famous parts of Chichen Itza include: El Castillo, Temple of the Warriors, Great Ballcourt, Sacred Cenote.

New Seven Wonders of the world...!

This video tells you about the New Seven Wonders of the World. Given that the first Seven Wonders list was arranged in the second century BCE—and that just a single participant is as yet standing (the Pyramids of Giza)— it appeared time for an update. Also, individuals around the globe clearly concurred, as in excess of 100 million votes were thrown on the Internet or by text informing. The conclusive outcomes, which were reported in 2007, were met with cheers just as certain sneers—various unmistakable competitors, for example, Athens' Acropolis, neglected to make the cut.

New Seven Wonders of the World | Wonders of the Modern Era

New Seven Wonders of the World.

01. Great Wall of China.
Constructed between the 5th century B.C. and the 16th century, the Great Wall of China is a stone-and-earth strengthening created to protect the boundaries of the Chinese Empire from entering Mongols.
The Great Wall is actually a succession of multiple walls spanning approximately 4,000 miles, making it the world's longest manmade structure.
Another archaeological survey found that the entire wall with all of its branches measures out to be 13,171 miles.
Today, the defensive system of the Great Wall is generally recognized as one of the most impressive architectural feats in history.

02. Petra Jordan. The Rose City.
Petra was the capital of the Nabataean empire of King Aretas IV, and likely existed in its prime from 9 B.C. to A.D. 40.
Petra is believed to have been home to 20,000 – 30,000 people and was an important trading city.
This has been declared as a World Heritage Site in 1985 by UNESCO.
People of this civilization proved to be early specialists in operating water technology. Although a desert, the Nabateans were efficient water collectors and were even able to grow gardens in the area.
Petra has been the location for a number of Hollywood films including Indiana Jones and The Mummy Returns.
It is believed that Petra was established in 312 BC, making it one of the oldest cities in the world.
Using satellite imagery, in 2016 archaeologists discovered a large and previously unknown monumental structure buried beneath the sands of Petra.

03. Taj Mahal. India.
Mughal Empire architectural marvels still stands in all its beauty and finesse in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Taj Mahal is a white marble built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Since 1983 it has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The most recognizable feature is the white dome at the peak of the mausoleum. Often called the 'onion dome', it rises to about 35 meters and is surrounded by four other domes.
The materials that were used to build Taj Mahal were transported to the construction site by a whopping 1,000 elephants.
Legend has it that Emperor Shah Jahan intended to build another Taj Mahal in black marble across the river but a war with his sons interrupted these plans.

04. The Colosseum. Rome.
The Colosseum was built between 72 A.D and 80 A.D under the Emperor Vespasian, in the heart of Ancient Rome. It was in use for some 500 years.
Measuring 189 metres long, 156 metres wide and 50 metres in height, the Colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world.
The elliptical structure sat nearly 50,000 spectators, who gathered to watch the gladiatorial events as well as other public spectacles, including battle reenactments, animal hunts and executions. This brilliant building had 80 entrances.
It’s estimated that over 400,000 people and over a million wild animals died during the centuries that the games took place.

05. Chichen Itza. Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.
In about 600 AD. Chichen Itza had started to gain importance in the region. Between 900 and 1050 AD. Chichen Itza had become a powerful capital. It also controlled northern and central Yucatan at the time.
This powerful city, a trading center for cloth, slaves, honey and salt, flourished from approximately 800 to 1200, and acted as the political and economic hub of the Mayan civilization.
Chichén Itzá was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988.

06. Machu Picchu (Peru)
A symbol of the Incan Empire and built around 1450AD, Machu Picchu was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.
This is an Incan city of sparkling granite precariously perched between 2 towering Andean peaks, is thought by scholars to have been a sacred archaeological center for the nearby Incan capital of Cusco.
Machu Picchu is made up of more than 150 buildings ranging from baths and houses to temples and sanctuaries and this sits at 2,430 metres above sea level.

07. Christ the Redeemer Statue (Rio de Janeiro).
Christ the Redeemer, Portuguese Cristo Redentor, colossal statue of Jesus Christ at the summit of Mount Corcovado, Rio de Janeiro, southeastern Brazil.
It was completed in 1931 and stands 98 feet tall, its horizontally outstretched arms spanning 92 feet. The idea of designing a massive statue of Jesus Christ in Rio first came about way back in the 1850s.
The 130-foot reinforced concrete-and-soapstone statue was designed by Heitor da Silva Costa and cost approximately $250,000 to build
THE ORIGINAL DESIGN WAS VERY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT WE SEE TODAY. After surveying Corcovado from various points throughout the city and consulting with Brazilian artist Carlos Oswald, Da Silva Costa came up with a new design: an Art Deco, arms-wide-open Christ.
