1 ???? SALTIBARSCIAI (cold beetroot soup) —It’s interesting...especially what’s floating inside of the bowl! Annnnd there’s a small chance it may make your pink poop! ...don’t ask us how we know ;)
2 ???? FRIED BREAD WITH CHEESE — This goes really well with a cold beer!
3 ???? GIRA (kvass) — “A superior refreshment on a hot summer day”
4 ???? CEPELINAI (meat-filled potato dumplings) — Cue the drama! Watch this to see a bad breakup.
5 ???? TINGINYS (uncooked cocoa cookie bar) — Also known as Chocolate Salami (in Italian). Plenty of chocolate, but no meat.
6 ???? PICKLED CABBAGE SOUP — One of the best cabbage dishes we have ever tasted!
7 ???? KASTINYS (sour cream butter) — We already like butter, but adding herbs makes it even more delicious! Plus, who doesn’t like potatoes with butter?
8 ???? KUGELIS (potato pie/casserole) — If you like potatoes and if you like pie, then you’re destined to enjoy this Lithuanian dish.
9 ???? APPLE “CHEESE” — Looking for unique charcuterie board ideas? This is the perfect addition! Looks gross but tastes amazing.

11 ???? MUSHROOM SOUP — Soup in a bread bowl. Yum. Enough said!

Lithuanian Foods To Try
Trying new foods is one of the best parts of travelling and we had a FEAST in Vilnius trying Lithuanian food for the first time. Of all the Baltic countries, Lithuania has our favourite cuisine. We wanted to try every traditional drink, snack, soup, main, and dessert Lithuania has to offer, from cold beetroot soup to cepelinai dumplings (Lithuania's national dish) to acorn coffee. We found some new favourites we'll never forget.

LITHUANIA IS UNDERRATED (trying traditional Lithuanian food in Vilnius, Lithuania)
Fried bread and a potato dumplings are traditional Lithuanan foods.
We know. We couldn't believe it either.
We spent our first day in the snow eating incredible Lithuanian bagels from Beigelstai, trying to find warm clothes, exploring a winter forest and venturing into a totally seperate republic called Uzupis!
We finished the day at a traditional Lithuanian restaurant called Etno Dvaras where we had fried bread with garlic sauce and one of the best dumplings we've ever had (INCLUDING OUR TIME SPENT IN ASIA)
Vilnius, Lithuania you are an absolute treat and we WILL be returning!

I think I might’ve found one of my favorite all time cuisines! Lithuanian food! Last week I explored the city of Vilnius and of course I had to try some traditional Lithuanian dishes for myself! After receiving a recommendation from the staff at my hostel I decided to make my way over to a restaurant called SNEKUTIS and it didn't disappoint at all! I tried several Lithuanian dishes and let me say.... none of them disappointed at all! I hope you all enjoy this video and please do yourself a favor and make your way to Lithuania! Exploring Vilnius Lithuania | Traditional Lithuanian FOOD TOUR!
We're in Vilnius, Lithuania for a serious day of exploring & EATING!! Just how many different versions of Meat, Potato and Sour Cream can there possible be??
If you want to know what to see in Vilnius Lithuania, or have ever wondered what traditional Lithuanian food is, then come along on our full 12 hours of eating in this beautiful Old Town.
We start the day in a cafe for a Lithuanian breakfast, then explore the Old Town, checking out the 'narrowest street in Vilnius' (worth a look while walking around, and it's right next to the street with the best bars!).
We then head up to Gediminas Castle Tower to check out the medieval castle and city views, then make the climb up to The Hill of Three Crosses - one of the most famous landmarks in the city and well worth the climb for the incredible views!
Then we jump on an old Soviet era trolleybus (seriously cool experience) and head for lunch.
Lunch Restaurant: Klaipėda Old Town (Klaipėdos senamiestis). Try the Cheese Fingers!!
Then on for a quick drink before dinner on a great little Old Town street: Savičiaus g. Another great street for bars and busier nightlife is Vilniaus g. (Republik is my favourite pub in the city!).
Finally we end the day at an incredible, cheap and delicious traditional restaurant in the heart of the Vilnius Old Town called Etno Dvaras. The number of different potato-based dishes will blow your mind! The food there is truly amazing!!

Welcome to part 1 of my 2-part series exploring the delicious food scene in Vilnius, the pink Wes Anderson capital of Lithuania. In this video, join me as I indulge in 72 hours of food heaven, starting with the surprising tap water of the city ????.
Next, I take you to a fancy restaurant where I enjoyed a 4-course dinner that reintroduces the food aristocrats ate. I was blown away by the exquisite presentation and flavors of each dish.
Vilnius is also known for its trendy and sophisticated coffee culture, so I couldn't resist trying some of the best cafes in the city. From latte art to unique brews, the coffee scene did not disappoint.
In the afternoon, I visited a museum cafe and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious lunch options. I tried some traditional Lithuanian dishes with a modern twist and enjoyed them while surrounded by fascinating art and artifacts.
Throughout the video, I also showcase the charming and quirky architecture of Vilnius, which adds to the city's overall charm. Stay tuned for part 2, where I will continue my culinary journey and try even more delicious food in this amazing city.
