BAHAMAS BEST BEACH!
If you're in search of an incredible beach getaway, look no further than Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort and Villas, on the Northern tip of Long Island in the beautiful Out Islands of the Bahamas. While it might take a little bit of extra effort to get to Long Island...trust me, it's so very worth it! This is not an island where Carnival Cruise docks for the day....and while it's featured on travel sites such as Lonely Planet and Fodor's...it still has managed to stay below the radar (translation: no crowds and having one of the most beautiful beaches in the world all to yourself!!)....

* The beach at Cape Santa Maria (in my opinion, one of the best I've ever been to...if not THE BEST)
* The amazing staff at Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort
* The Columbus Monument (Northern tip of the island) - This monument to Columbus' landfall is located at Long Bay, so named for Columbus' long boat. This is the point where he came ashore. A monument placed on the floor of the ocean in Long Bay marks the exact spot where Columbus dropped anchor on October 12th, 1492. On the beach, a simple white cross commemorates the first land discovered in the West Indies.
* Dean's Blue Hole - Worlds second deepest blue hole reaching a depth of 663 feet!
* Max's Conch Bar - Cabana-style restaurant is well known locally and internationally for mouth-watering conch salad, grilled conch and fish, beef and other native dishes.
* Secret Sand Bar - talk to the staff at Cape Santa Maria to have a boat trip setup to this incredible sandbar and be prepared to be blown away!
* Secret Sea Cave - see Sand Bar above. Cape Santa Maria will show you this incredible location.
* Hamilton's Cave - One of the largest caves in The Bahamas, it is very spacious with passages that are at least 50 feet wide, and the ceiling is over 10 feet high. Lucayan artifacts were discovered in this cave system in 1935.
* Smacky and the Boys (Traditional Rake and Scrape local band) - Kick your shoes off and shake your boonggy island style to Bahamian rake-n-scrape!!
* And one of the most epic bonfires on the beach ever :)
