Kravice Waterfall (Bosnia-Herzegovina) - A Day Trip from Mostar (4K)
Plenty of day trips are available from Mostar or Dubrovnik (Croatia) to explore the beautiful Herzegovina region. The most refreshing one for those searching for a break from the torching summer weather is surely visiting the Kravice/Kravica waterfall. This nature jewel of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a large tufa cascade on the Trebižat River with a 28 meter (90 ft) fall and a 120-meter radius lake at the bottom. The park is open from 7 a.m to 10 p.m during the summer months and swimming is allowed. Restaurants, picnic areas, boat tours and kayak rentals are available in the park. Entrance is 20 KM (10 EUR) but has to be paid in the local currency.

We toured in the group that we hired in Dubrovnik in Croatia to bring us to Kravice in Bosnia & Herzegovina, the tour to the Kravice or Kravica waterfalls lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes it is 146 km or 91miles by car, This tour was shot on September 3, 2021, in 4K

Kravica Waterfall is a large tufa cascade on the Trebižat River, in the karstic heartland of Herzegovina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is 10 kilometres south of Ljubuški and 40 kilometres south of Mostar. Its height is about 25 metres and the radius of the lake at the base of the waterfall is 120 metres.

Kravica Waterfall
is a large tufa cascade on the Trebižat River, in the karstic heartland of Herzegovina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Ljubuški and 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Mostar. Its height is about 25 metres (80 ft) and the radius of the lake in the base of the waterfall is 120 metres (390 ft). Kravica is a popular swimming and picnic area and, during the summer, it is frequently visited by tourists.
The Kravica Falls area also has a little cafe, a rope swing, a picnic area, and a place to camp. The best time of year for visiting is during the springtime when the fall is at its fullest and the arid landscape turns a bright green. During the high season, various restaurants in the vicinity of the waterfalls mostly offer grilled dishes and fish specialties

Kravica Waterfall - vodopadi Kravice
Plunging from cliffs as high as 83 feet into a natural, watery amphitheater that is almost 500 feet across, the series of waterfalls at Kravice are nestled in a natural reserve southwest of the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The collective impression created is one of a more approachable, kid sister to the thunderous Iguazu Falls spanning Brazil and Argentina’s border that remains less visited, and unspoiled in a way its big brother can no longer claim.
The rapids at the base of the falls aren’t particularly dangerous even in the springtime, and no lifeguards are charged with policing activities. This makes the natural swimming holes at Kravice local favorites despite the water’s year-round chilly temperature. As if bathing beneath cascading waters and leaping from rock to rock weren’t enough, a rope swing has even been added for bonus kicks. With a bar on its banks, a classic mill and old sailing ship moored in the lake at its base, Kravice Falls leaves nothing wanting.

Kravica is a waterfall located 3 km downstream from Vitaljina, in Studenci near Ljubuški. It was formed by the work of the travertine-bearing river Trebižat. The height ranges from 26 to 28 m, with a water amphitheater under a waterfall with a diameter of 120 m. Grass, moss, algae and lichens grew over the tufa layer from the bottom to the top of the waterfall. Next to the waterfall, hemp, figs and poplars sprouted. In the past, numerous mills and stupas for rolling cloth were active next to the waterfall.
The owner of the waterfall was Zaim-beg Selimić, the famous Ljubuska landowner, wakif and benefactor.

Visina se kreće od 26 do 28 m, s vodenim amfiteatrom ispod vodopada prečnika 120 m. Preko sedronosnog sloja od dna do vrha vodopada izrasli su trava, mahovina, alge i lišajevi. Mostar, picturesquely situated in the valley of the Neretva River, is the fifth largest city in Bosnia-Herzegovina with a population of just over 113,000 and historically the capital of Herzegovina.
The city's most famous landmark is the Old Bridge, the Stari Most, historically considered a symbol of the union between Christianity and Islam. Built in 1566, the bridge was destroyed in the Bosnian war in 1993 and rebuilt after the war. It is considered a protected cultural asset and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005 as a symbol of reconciliation and international and intercultural cooperation.
But Mostar has much much more to offer, and as always I tried to capture all my impressions with my camera. The city impressed me so much that I dedicated my longest video to it so far.

Exploring KRAVICE WATERFALL + POCITELJ in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Road Trip from SPLIT to SARAJEVO)
We take a Bosnian road trip from Split to Sarajevo, stopping at Kravice Waterfall and Pocitelj along the way.
On this episode of Mapping It, we spend a day driving from Split, in Croatia, to Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Our first stop on the five hour drive is Kravice Waterfalls - a very scenic massive waterfall that you can swim at! After getting jealous at everyone swimming (because we didn’t know you could swim there, so we were unprepared), we head to the riverside town of Pocitelj.
Pocitelj was brutally destroyed during the civil war in the 1990s and then carefully rebuilt. It’s now a great example of Ottoman architecture.
We wrap up our time exploring the Bosnian countryside with a delicious meal of spit-roasted lamb at Restoran Kovacevic Jablanica.

Kravica, Ljubuški Waterfalls! - One of the most memorizing waterfalls ever! - 4K
Located only a short distance from Sarajevo this almost surreal Disney like waterfall covers approximately 9km and is home to animals, plants and variety of trees and flowers.
This popular tourism destination is one of the largest location in Bosnia and Herzegovina and definitely worth the visit.
You can walk, hike or even take a swim as the water is quite shallow at the base of the waterfall but use caution as the current can be quite strong at the far end.
When should you visit Kravica is during the high summer when the water levels are higher and the weather is warmer.
