7 Countries will Disappear in Your Lifetime ????????

Sinking countries due to climate change. #sinkingIslandsClimateChange For those seven paradise islands scattered across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, we know exactly why they started sinking, and now at a rate much faster than previously thought. This climate change report 2021 was published by the UN IPCC and tag it a s a Code Red for humanity. Ida hurricane and other extreme weather is a direct result of climate change. in addition climate change is a direct factor triggering climate regufees. Thanks to Global Citizen and other initiative, we may be able to reduce the climate change effect on humans. but can you fix climate change?

Rising water is just one of many scary things that could happen if the polar ice mountains continue to melt. Climate change is very serious and has a long lasting effect for many generations to come especially for these small islands such as Micronesia, Maldives, Palau and others

My country will be underwater soon -- unless we work together | Anote Tong

For the people of Kiribati, climate change isn't something to be debated, denied or legislated against -- it's an everyday reality. The low-lying Pacific island nation may soon be underwater, thanks to rising sea levels. In a personal conversation with TED Curator Chris Anderson, Kiribati President Anote Tong discusses his country's present climate catastrophe and its imperiled future. In order to deal with climate change, there's got to be sacrifice. There's got to be commitment, he says. We've got to tell people that the world has changed.<img src= height=1 width=1 alt=/>

KIRIBATI: WW2 Japanese Vickers 20cm cannon ???? (1943 battle of Tarawa), Pacific Ocean

Kiribati, Tarawa Atoll, Pacific Ocean - Second World War (WW2) Japanese gun from the second world war on Red Beach in Kiribati. Let's travel to the Republic of Kiribati (Tarawa Atoll) in the Pacific Ocean and let's visit a Japanese gun, completely intact, installed in 1942 in order to protect the island of Betio in the Gilbert Islands (now, Kiribati, Tarawa Atoll) and which saw action during the American invasion in November of 1943 during the battle of Tarawa.
The Battle of Tarawa was fought on 20–23 November 1943 between the United States and Japan at the Tarawa Atoll in the Gilbert Islands, and was part of Operation Galvanic, the U.S. invasion of the Gilberts. Nearly 6,400 Japanese, Koreans, and Americans died in the fighting, mostly on and around the small island of Betio, in the extreme southwest of Tarawa Atoll.
Kiribati, officially the Republic of Kiribati is an island nation in the central Pacific Ocean. The nation comprises 33 atolls and reef islands and one raised coral island; Banaba. ADF Operation: Kiribati Assist

ADF Contribution:
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has deployed a small Joint Task Force to the small Pacific Island nation of Kiribati to commence Operation Kiribati Assist.

Operation Kiribati Assist is the ADF contribution to Australia's response to a request from the Government of Kiribati to assist in the disposal of World War II unexploded ordnance (UXO) from locations throughout Kiribati.

The ADF has world-class skills, expertise and capability in conducting explosive ordnance disposal and is happy to be assisting our regional neighbour in clearing the threat posed by unexploded ordnance.

Joint Task Force (JTF) 637 will dispose of UXO identified during a 2007 reconnaissance of the islands and scope any future UXO disposal requirements and EOD training opportunities for the Kiribati Police Service during the deployment.

The JTF comprises approximately 22 people and includes a Command Group, a Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diving Team to handle underwater UXO, Army and RAAF EOD teams who will handle land based UXO, including air delivered items and a Medical Team.

The 33 islands of Kiribati are scattered across 3.5 million square kilometres of the Central Pacific and is the site where the Battle of Tarawa was fought in November 20th, 1943. Most UXO encountered in Kiribati are remnants from this conflict and include military ordnance such as artillery projectiles, aerial bombs, rockets, mortars and mines.

KIRIBATI: THE COUNTRY THAT'S DROWNING

“There are developing countries and endangered species. The Republic of Kiribati is a dying country. Lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, this little paradise seems destined to be swallowed up by global warming. A country which is afraid of disappearing, is in the process of buying land from its neighboring country in order to be able to move all its population there… The international negotiations on the climate are not advancing…”. These words are those of Julien Blanc-Gras, a globe-trotting journalist and writer, who has returned with a new book, his 4th, entitled 'Paradise before liquidation'. Here, he evokes a land endangered by climate change. In today's video, we are going to talk about the Kiribati Islands, an endangered country.

KIRIBATI
