Ho'omaluhia, the Most Beautiful Botanical Garden in Oahu, HI
The island of Oahu in Hawaii has many beautiful places and hidden treasures, one of which is the Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden. Hoʻomaluhia means “a peaceful refuge.” It is very aptly named. Because as you drive along the majestic palm-lined road against the imposing Ko'olau mountain range or stroll through the massive 400 acres full of lush tropical plants and trees, you can’t help but think that this is what Eden must have looked like. The Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden is a perfect place to spend a whole day unwinding and being one with nature.

Even if you lived someplace for a long time, you haven't seen everything. Which is exactly what happened here. I've never been to Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens which is so shameful. This is the most beautiful garden I've ever been to. its one of those places that you can see & hear or read about but it is a place that must be experienced.

Waimea Falls and Botanical Garden | Hawaii Waterfalls
Waimea Valley on Oahu's North Shore has a beautiful botanical garden and easily accessible waterfall that you can swim in. The botanical garden includes 52 themed gardens and has over 5000 documented types of tropical and subtropical plants including native Hawaiian plants and globally endangered species. It's about a mile walk through the gardens to get to the falls, or you can take a shuttle to the waterfall.

The Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located at 45–680 Luluku Road, Kāne'ohe, Oahu, Hawaii.
This video is sped up to show the beautiful drive leading to the trail to the Lake.
We decided to take a trip to Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden to decide where too have our family photos taken. Unfortunately the weather wasnt clear skies. We were able to quickly walk to the lake before the rain began to pour. We look forward to returning and making a day of it. Stay tuned for that video. Thank you for watching.

HO'OMALUHIA BOTANICAL GARDEN

This catch-and-release program is fun for the whole family.
Provide bamboo poles with barbless hooks and you bring the bait -fresh white bread works great! You may also bring your own poles with barbless hooks.
Fish commonly seen: tilapia and midas cichlid.
Check in at the Visitor Center. It is a 10 minute walk to the fishing area.
Bamboo poles may be borrowed from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm, on a first come, first served basis.
No casting allowed
Recommended: walking shoes, insect repellent, rain gear

Wednesdays: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Come paint and draw the wonderful plant life and scenery of our largest botanical garden with others in this self directed opportunity! Plants, flowers and seeds are provided from this rainforest garden. Bring your supplies; watercolors, pencils, and paper. Some art experience is helpful.
