#279 Thanks so much to our patrons on for making these videos possible x We're sooooo excited to get in the air. Our friends have come to the Azores and on their expert advice we're heading to the mountainous Pico Island to get the perfect conditions to paraglide. BUT........ if there's one thing that's more weather-dependent as sailing, it's paragliding. And knowing our luck... well will we ever get in the air? What do you mean ya can't do it with clouds??
Have faith all, I think we'll get there. And in the meantime, we get to do a bit of sailing from Horta and our first steps on Pico. These guys are living a parallel life to ours 🪂. Tom, Sofia and their little boy Jack are just amazing people. Follow them on Instagram and checkout their website:

Paramotor training uk in Yorkshire AT PPG Training uk we believe that glider control is EVERYTHING when flying a paramotor. During our training program, our students will spend up to 8 hours a day hooked up to a wing, practicing every step, every part, and every piece until they have completely mastered control. Teaching people to fly paramotors, we have found that the more glider control skill you have, the better pilot you will be. Which is why we dedicate so much time and energy to teaching our students everything there is to know about glider control. It's not easy. It's not quick. But in the end - IT PAYS OFF.
Students who build great glider control skills tend to have better launches and smoother landings. They also tend not to break nearly as much equipment and they progress faster. Most importantly, students who have mastered glider control are safer. Their understanding of the wing and experience in keeping it under control in every situation helps keep them safe.
