Meghan Markle Arrives At The Wedding Ceremony In Beautiful Wedding Dress

The world got a quick glimpse at Meghan Markle, whose royal wedding to Prince Harry was watched around the globe, with networks going wall-to-wall to see the former US TV star get married. Markle was in the back of a Rolls Royce Phantom 4, seated next to her mother, and was visibly grinning under her veil. This was about 40 minutes before the ceremony, which began at noon.

Meghan Markle arrived in earnest right on time and wearing a long-sleeved, simple, elegant Givenchy wedding dress with a very long veil (reportedly embroidered with the flora of each of the 53 Commonwealth countries) and Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara. She was greeted in the church by Prince Charles, whom the former Suits star had asked to walk her down the aisle in the absence of her father, who recently underwent heart surgery.

Royal Wedding Day - Behind the Scenes - Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding.

More than 100 000 Royal Fans, well-wishers and spectators came at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle. The State Entrance, where Heads of State and official guests of The Queen enter the Castle. From here, all visitors are able to enjoy the spectacular view of the Long Walk, created by Charles II. It is a view that perfectly encapsulates the grandeur of the Castle and the beauty of its setting within the Great Park. A dramatic first impression is exactly what Charles II intended when he created the Long Walk between 1683 and 1685. As part of a major programme of improvements to the Castle, the King restored Windsor's Great Park, which had been divided and sold off by Parliamentarians during the Civil War. By planting trees, taking land out of arable use and bringing in over 500 deer from Germany and Richmond Park, he turned the land south of the Castle back into a great royal hunting forest. To connect the Castle and the Great Park, he ordered a ruler-straight avenue of four rows of elms stretching for two and a half miles.
