Dutch Street Food in a Vending Machine? ????????
While touring a few cities in the Netherlands I noticed that each city had a unique street food option that I have yet to encounter. I would call this street food similar to a vending machine however it serves hot typical Dutch snacks that have to be made fresh and changed by a human.
You simply put your money into the machine which then unlocks the magnetic locks giving you acess to the hot Netherlands street food. I tried as many as I could and trust me I was very hungry. All the snack where good so to show you which of the street food items I liked most I rated them on a scale of 1-10.
Incase you're wondering where you can get this Dutch street food I found this one in Utrecht however I did come across them on my tours of all the other Dutch cities I visited on this trip in the Netherlands.

These two expats in The Netherlands had never eaten at FEBO. Crazy, right? We fix that many times over in this video!
We tried fried cheese, fried meats, and much more as we tour around a few FEBO locations in Amsterdam. Yes, many desserts were ordered.

Fast Food Vending Machine | Dutch Cuisine
This is some of the fastest fast food you can get and it's all from a vending machine! Just walk up to the machine, insert money and take your food. This video is showing you what it's like to use a Dutch fast food vending machine. This particular machine I use is in Aruba next to Superfood, in the Dutch Caribbean. I get Kaassoufflè, Pikanto and Bamischijf.

Dutch Street Food tour in Den Bosch Netherlands
In the Dutch city of s-hertogenbosch I found Dutch street seafood in the middle of a beautiful plaza. The gentleman serving the food trucks were very courteous and proud to explain their local dishes as well as history. I found fried seafood to be amongst the more popular such as the kibbeling and the raw herring.
The Dutch street food caught me by surprise since all Dutch restaurants are closed except for take away which is what I did. It was delicious and big thanks to all who took part. I hope you guys are hungry and ready to try some Dutch street seafood.

Trying out Febo Vending machines in Amsterdam
Amsterdam fast food restaurant Febo is open till very late. At the Rembrandtplein, Leidseplein and red light district, it’s open till 3 a.m. on week nights and 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Febo is particularly popular among a (drunk) Dutch crowd at these late night hours.
Febo’s most famous product is ‘kroket’ (‘croquette’) a small deep-fried roll filled with a ‘ragout’. The ragout is made by adding stock to a roux, added with spices, vegetables and/or meat and a coat of breadcrumbs, covered with egg white. There are many different types: beef croquette, veal, sateh croquettes and Vitaaltje (vegetarian).
Febo prepares all its products fresh everyday. They are hand packed and then transported to the shops. Febo is one of the only fast food shops in The Netherlands that doesn’t use frozen food. Febo has won various prizes for ‘best kroket’.
Other famous Febo products are Bami, a roll filled with spicy Chinese noodles, vegetables and chicken, Frikadel, a long roll made of minced beef and pork and Cheese souffles, a pastry crust filled with hot tasty cheese, many types of burgers and of course the Febo french fries.
Febo has been preparing and selling their products since 1941! The idea of using an automat to sell the products is not a Dutch invention. It came from the US. Holland welcomed these machines for at the time a shopping law stated it was not allowed to give personal service after 6 pm. Johan de Borst from Amsterdam started Febo while he was working as an assistant in a bakery. The name Febo is derived from Ferdinand Bol, the name of the street where Johan de Borst wanted to start the first shop. He was set on a hygienic working space and oversaw the kitchen up to a very late age in his life. Even now, his grandchildren are on the board of directors. Febo doesn’t have a large market share in the fast food sector in Holland, but there are still very successful, also because they spend little in personal and restaurant space.

Every week I pick a country based on the souvenirs my parents or I bought, and cook something from that country.
This week I picked the Netherlands!
I've been to this country only once in winter.
So I couldn't see any tulip there, but still, the beautiful landscape with tulips is the first thing that comes to my mind, if I think of the Netherlands.
I was impressed by the vending machines for croquettes there, so I decided to make them today.
