An impressive wine event, the first ever in Fortezza Fortress, took place in Rethymno, on the 30th of June. In an exceptional evening, full of intriguing wines, flavors, perfumes and music, 23 wineries from all over the island, members of “Wines of Crete”, displayed some of the most original and exciting samples of their production. Visitors, wine lovers and wine professionals, had the chance to taste value choices of white, rose or red wines, old or new vintages, international or indigenous grape varieties and blends, along with meeting some of the most significant local winemakers. At the same time, well known classical musicians, D. Kolliakoudakis and A. Papakostas, performed Mediterranean jazz; interesting Cretan viticulture and vineyards photos exhibited in an open-gallery.
