Hotel Royal Riviera Nice France

Sign Up now for your free membership and benefit from exclusive perks and promotions in over 2000 luxury hotels worldwide.

Since its reopening in 1999, which revealed a spectacular metamorphosis, the Royal-Riviera hotel in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, has established itself as an alternative character courtyard the great addresses of the French Riviera. The place is an intimate palace - luxurious but discreet - classic but contemporary - chic but (very) friendly. Sunny terraces, sandy beach, infinity pool, as a gift, from waking up to late hours of the night, for guests of the Royal-Riviera.

Cocktail of Art-Deco and Neo-Hellenic influences in the large lounge plunges into the Mediterranean garden redesigned by Jean Mus and the Mediterranean's immense blue. Harmony of southern colors, morning light, balcony over the sea, and attention to detail in the rooms, everything is thought to make each stay a wonderful memory, a mad desire to return. Gardens of the South and view of the sea always present, read a book, have a tea in the heart of the wonderful garden: at the Royal-Riviera, everything becomes different, more serene, more beautiful than elsewhere.

The story of a Discreet Palace - At the beginning of the 20th century, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, located on a peninsula of the French Riviera, attracted international Gotha and fortunes worldwide. It must be said that the very mild climate, the luxuriance of flowers, and the superb view of the Baie des Fourmis have something to seduce. At the time, resident resort owners competed in splendor and creativity in the construction of their property. Thus was born the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a veritable palace of the Italian Renaissance which deploys 7 sumptuous themed gardens - or the Villa Kerylos, dominating the Mediterranean, a replica of an ancient Greek Villa.

In this context, a luxury hotel opened its doors in November 1904 under the name of Panorama Palace. It then had 150 rooms with bathrooms, great luxury for the time, a tennis court, and a boathouse where six canoes allow sea trips. According to some sources, it is in this place that Paris Singer, the squire of Saint John (son of the American inventor Isaac Merrit Singer), would have fallen under the charm of the American dancer Isadora Duncan! In 1908, also coming across the famous Russian composer Prokofiev in its corridors. In 1914, while the other palaces in the region were converted into hospitals for war victims, the Panorama Palace was requisitioned to serve as a school for war orphans and Allied Serb refugees fleeing the Austro-German troops. Finally, it was renamed in 1921 by its new owners under the name of Bedford. The hotel has 94 rooms and suites, including 78 in the main building, all in a harmony of colors reflecting the south's landscapes, and 16 in the Villa l'Orangerie, decorated in the purest style Saint-Jean- Cap-Ferrat.

Dining - Jasmine Grill & Lounge - By the pool and overlooking the famous Baie des Fourmis in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, the Jasmin Grill & Lounge invites you to travel, with a completely revisited menu. The contemporary and modular structure transforms the space into an open-air terrace. Lunch facing the sea or after work on the poolside, the Jasmin Grill & Lounge is the ideal stopover to escape everyday life. The outdoor kitchen incorporates a real tandoor oven for original Indian specialties. Spit meat, catch of the day, Mediterranean specialties to share, pasta, and burgers complete this international menu. La Table du Royal - In the restaurant La Table du Royal, Chef Anthony Cadei offers modern gourmet cuisine that respects seasonal flavors' authenticity by emphasizing local products. In addition, the sommeliers will make you discover the best wines from the region and elsewhere to accompany the dishes on the menu with Mediterranean inspirations.

Cape Town Bar - In a colonial style with exotic touches, the Le Cap bar makes you feel like you are sitting in a private lounge. Chic and elegant, the cozy and friendly atmosphere encourages confidence.
The bar opens onto a garden-side terrace where you can be served from the first sunny days to savor the sweetness of life on the Riviera.

Wellness Center - The wellness center offers you to test the THALGO range of treatments, the Marine Intelligence expert. Marine cosmetics, creating beauty - Pioneers in their field, THALGO Laboratories, have acquired a unique mastery of marine active ingredients: mineral salts, trace elements, vitamins, amino acids, and other active molecules. Each THALGO treatment is a true concentrate of marine efficiency, in perfect alchemy with exclusive high-tech gestures.

FRENCH RIVIERA WEDDING VENUE - VILLA EPHRUSSI DE ROTHSCHILD

If you're looking for a FRENCH RIVIERA WEDDING VENUE with an amazing view of the Mediterranean, you have to visit VILLA EPHRUSSI DE ROTHSCHILD.

We spent a week exploring this popular destination wedding location and tried to do as much research for you as possible to find Best Venues for a Destination Wedding in the French Riviera. We’ve collected photos and video to give you the experience of being there, and we also gathered some important details for these venues that will help in your wedding planning. If you’re not entirely familiar with the area, then picture yourself all the way down on the Southern border of France, right next to Italy. It technically starts with Menton but you’d probably recognize Monaco first. From there, as you meander down the coast, you’ll encounter gems like St. Jean Cap Ferrat, the hilltop village of Eze, Nice (pronounced like Niece) and Antibes & Juan-les-Pins, reaching its end at the infamous city of Cannes.

The area, which is also referred to as the South of France, is much different from the other popular French destinations such as Paris and Burgundy. While Paris has its monochromatic pallet of Haussmann buildings and a wardrobe consisting primarily of black, gray and more black, the South embraces color. And why shouldn’t they, with about 300 days of sunshine, all of that Paris black would just be too hot. If summer heat isn’t your thing, look to the months of September and October which are just after the busy season and just before many of the resorts shutter their doors for the winter holidays.

Hopefully this gives you a good idea of what’s possible for hosting your destination wedding in the South of France. If you’d like to work with an English-speaking photographer then contact us now!

Taste of Cannes 2019

Out of all the beaches along the French Riviera, Cannes is our favorite. It's a small city right on the beach with a medieval castle towering above Le Suquet (the old part of town). As it turns out, pretty much every city has a castle, but what makes Cannes unique is its white sandy beaches, world renowned restaurants, luxury hotels and the Cannes Film Festival, which attracts the rich and famous from around the world.

This video is just a taste of what we saw, ate and experienced while we were there in 2019, pre-pandemic. I'll make a more in-depth video soon with details on where to stay, what to see, do and eat.

I've also posted quite a bit about our travels on Instagram
