We travel through Costa Rica in search for its most iconic wildlife (it was not easy) - (EP 64)

Sloth, River crossings, Beach Camps, Scarlet macaws, Crocodile Bridge...

Last week we travelled through the centre of Costa Rica. For this last week in the country we have a busy programme... We leave the central valleys of the country and go with our Land Rover defender, first to the Caribbean coast and then to the Pacific Coast. On our way we are looking for some of the country's most iconic wildlife. It is hard to spot wildlife for rookies like us, even in a country with so much fauna like Costa Rica. But slowly we get better and better. We finish our journey around the gorgeous Osa Peninsula, a place like no other. But we let you discover it in the video.

In the following week a lot of change is going to happen. We are very excited to share it with you. In the meantime if you want to support us for free: subscribe to the channel and watch another video!

Until next week, take care!
Nick and Mathilde

Our first time driving in Costa Rica (and our first time in Costa Rica)! We roadtripped from San Jose (capital of Costa Rica) to Liberia on the Nicoya Peninsula. Although the drive was beautiful... Sarah may have gotten road rage.

/// ABOUT US ///
Hi! We are Eric and Sarah, a couple of Canadians currently travelling around Central America. We’ve been married since 2017 but have known each other since we were only 6 years old! During our last year of university, we spent 4 months in Honduras on a semester abroad and fell in love with Latin America. Since then, we began planning and saving to do an extensive Latin America tour. 2020 delayed those plans by half a year but during this time stuck in BC, we explored a new hobby (like everyone in the pandemic) of videography and photography. We are now using our new skills to document our adventures around Central and South America. Our desire through these videos is to provide helpful and inspiring content for other travelers while also showing people around the world how beautiful Latin America truly is! Thanks for following along and please leave a comment to say hi!

TRAVEL GUIDE FOR COSTA RICA BY 4WD - Our self drive tour through Costa rica's must see sites

What a crazy spare of the minute trip this was! Such a shock being my first big overseas trip since before the pandemic. We had 6 nights in New York before we headed down to Costa rica to live our most tropical lives.

If you've been following me for a while now you know I'm obsessed with waterfalls and costa rica would have to be one of the best places in the world to see such a variety of them.

In part one of our adventure we picked up our hire 4wd from Nomad America. Being wet season this was the safest option car to drive the roads. The hire company picked us up from the airport and then we headed off to la fortuna with hike the arenal volcano and chase some waterfalls!

I can't wait to share part 2 of this adventure with you when we head off-shore for some diving and more over landing.

Thanks for watching!

MOUNTAIN ROADTRIP IN COSTA RICA (2021)

I had recently come to the country of Costa Rica after spending 1 year in Mexico and visiting all the most famous places in the Yucatan Peninsula and the west part of Mexico. Now I had met 2 danish guys in a Hostel and we were about to rent a car and drive through the mountains to find waterfalls but got lost in a spooky forest as the sun had gone down.
