Why You Must Visit Bryce Canyon National Park in the Winter: A Complete Guide

Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah is a beautiful and unique place to visit with its tall hoodoos and stunning vistas regardless of the seasons. However, in winter, the already breathtaking landscapes transform into something even more magical. Bryce Canyon National Park in the winter is something straight out of the storybook, a winter wonderland. There is nothing like the interesting reddish hoodoos covered in sparkling snow. The pure white snow is in stark contrast against the red hoodoos, which makes their colors become even more vivid. There is also something peaceful about the flurrying of snow, fluttering upon the pine trees and the striking landscape. Also, most of the time, you’ll have the whole place to yourself. So if you’re seeking beauty and serenity, Bryce Canyon National Park in the winter is the place!

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, Destination Video - Travel Guide

Check out resorts and lodges around Bryce National Park -

Experience Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, USA - Things you need to know.

Over two million visitors come to Bryce Canyon National Park each year. What they find is a series of huge amphitheaters carved into a high plateau which are filled with irregular eroded spires of rock called hoodoos. You can gaze into the canyon from several viewpoints and walk down amongst the hoodoos on several trails.

The starting point for a visit should be the Visitor Centre where you will find a ranger help desk, exhibits, a 22-minute film, maps and souvenirs. Between April and October a free shuttle bus operates to the main viewpoints from the Visitor Centre and there are regular talks given by rangers close to the center.

Accommodation is provided within the park by the rustic Lodge at Bryce Canyon and two campgrounds. Outside the park there are many close-by options.

Day Trip to Bryce Canyon National Park: Things to Do in the Park!

Hello travel friends! We visited Bryce Canyon NP in late March 2021. The park was not crowded, but there was quite a bit of snow and some trails were still closed. In this video I talk about the things we did on our day trip in Bryce Canyon NP and recommend some trails we couldn't do this early in the season but sounded like they'd be fun when they open up! Enjoy and happy travels :)
