Go to Yoshino Mount from Nara, Japan (Cherry Blossom Season)
This was an last minute plan to Mount Yoshino when we were at Nara. We have only half a day before checking in our next hotel, so it was quite rush.
IF, you plan to visit there, my suggestion is to have at least a Full day there because the travel time from Nara (round trip) should takes you around 3-4 hours via Kintetsu.
The Yoshino mount divided into 3 parts (lower, middle, upper) requires a lot of walking + hiking, so be prepared, travel light and grab some snacks!
The Oku Senbon part in the video, I personally do not suggest to go unless you are there for hiking, because it is less cherry blossom view there with much effort hahaha!

Japan Trip: Chikurin-in Temple Japanese garden Sen-no-Rikyu designed, Nara06 Moopon
Chikurin-in is a Buddhist temple located along the border between the Naka and Kami Senbon areas of Mount Yoshino. It was originally an accommodation for the practitioners of the Shugendo mountain worship. Chikurin-in is today used as an attractive, traditional ryokan available to all types of travelers. Just like most accommodations in Yoshino, the Chikurin-in ryokan gets fully booked up far in advance during the busy season when cherry blossom is beautiful. The temple is also famous for its beautiful landscape garden, Gunpoen, which is said to have been designed by Sen-no-Rikyu, the famous tea master. The garden contains a large pond lined with dozens of cherry trees. Walking trails up the hill behind the pond leading to an archery ground, tranquil rest areas and viewpoints from which you can look out over the mountain slopes to Kinpusenji Temple.
Gunpoen Garden Hours: 8:00 to sunset Closed: Irregular closing days for maintenance Admission: 300 yen
Access information Take Yoshino Ropeway and from the upper station of Yoshinoyama Station, Chikurin-in Temple is a 30 minute walk.

Sakurajima viewed from Yoshino Park, Kagoshima City
SAKURAJIMA from YOSHINO PARK
Do you want to see SAKURAJIMA from the best position?
If that is the case, I recommend you to go to Yoshino Park at the north of Kagoshima City.
The city is located on the high place and you can get the perfect view of the volcano and Kagoshima City.
YOSHONO PARK
In addition to beautiful view of the Kagoshima, you can appreciate many kinds of plants in the park.
In March and April, you can see many beautiful Sakura (cherry blossoms)
Many local families go on a picnic for Hanami (appreciation of cherry blossom) in March and April.
Even if you come to the park in different seasons, you can enjoy different flowers and trees.
UME plum trees are particularly beautiful in February.
There is a typical Japanese garden in the park.
The atmosphere is calm and comfortable in the garden.

Mt. Yoshino Cherry Blossoms, Nara Part 3 - 吉野山奈良 - Japan As It Truly Is
Yoshino in Nara is the Mecca of Japanese cherry blossoms and has been for well over a thousand years. Discover why here!
Yoshinoyama or Mount Yoshino is a UNESCO World Heritage site where you can immerse yourself in traditional Japan.
There are over 30,000 cherry blossom trees at Yoshino, and numerous ancient poems speak of its intense beauty. Every year big crowds still walk up the mountain, which has numerous temples as well as a lot of history including the refuge of Emperor Go-Daigo during the 14th century competing imperial court. Many bring a picnic to enjoy with the flower viewing or hanami. For those who don't like the climb, there is also a ropeway that can take you past the lower area (Shimo Senbon) up to the Naka Senbon where most of the temples and shrines are. Many of the religious sites are connected with Shugendo, a type of ancient mountain worship.
In spite of growing international tourist crowds going to Japan to see the blossoms or sakura, very few still know about Japan's best place to see them.
