Hiking Leighton Buzzard to Woburn Sands - 15 miles - King's Wood, Woburn town & Deer Park - (4K HD)

A cracking 15 mile hike that started along the Grand Union Canal. We then went into Rushmere Country Park, King's Wood, and followed the Greensand Ridge Walk to Woburn town. Checked out Woburn Deer Park before heading back to Woburn and up to Woburn Sands train station through New Wavendon Heath.

Last year I hiked 13 miles from Tring to Leighton Buzzard - and made another video of the adventure that can be seen here:

Britain's Best Walks - Woburn

As listed in my book 'The Most Amazing Places to Walk in Britain', I walk one of Britain's best walks, Woburn. I am lucky to live just down the road from Woburn in Bedfordshire, and I was even more fortunate to do the walk on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. In this walk you will see my ramble around the Woburn Estate, the Deer Park and end in the charming town of Woburn.

Woburn Sands Station 6/5/19

We take a ride out on the New 'D' trains now operated most of the services on the Marston Vale Line between Bedford and Bletchley. We re-visit some of the stations on the route as we did do a visit to all of them back in 2018 but it was before the new trains came into service so it was time to re-visit some of these locations.

Time Out Walks, Book 1, Walk 17, Bow Brickhill to Woburn Sands. 18/7/11.

A very pleasant walk of around 11.6 miles in Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire. The morning section is mainly through delightful mixed woods, with some good examples of Redwoods, before lunch in the village of Woburn.
Thereafter, it's on through the Safari Park, where large herds of deer will be seen, and, possibly, glimpses of Brown Bears, Bison and others, depending on the route taken.*
On leaving the park, it's on to the village of Aspley Guise before finishing at Woburn Sands station.
* At the time of writing, a diversion was in place that takes the walker away from the elephant enclosure along roads, though I did see a couple successfully emerge from the closed path. Due to reopen on 1/9/11 but it's been deferred previously...
