Cincinnati, Ohio: Unexpectedly, It's Pretty Awesome
We visited Cincinnati, Ohio. There I explored the lovely, but quiet downtown. Afterwards I drove up Vine to the Over-The Rhine urban district, one of the largest in the United States. In 2009, it was named the most dangerous neighborhood in the country. Then the city began a massive redevelopment of the area south of Liberty Street, which splits the district in two. This area became the focal point of gentrification, and many low income residents were displaced, but the area became a thriving apartment/entertainment destination, the best in the city. North of Liberty Street, however, is a different story, as you'll see when I drive through it. Later, together we visit a local restaurant and have the city's signature dish, Cincinnati Chili.

The Newport Aquarium is a Must See! Today we take the kids to the Newport Aquarium in Newport, Kentucky right across the river from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Some people call it the Cincinnati Aquarium. This underwater oasis that sits right on the Ohio River has been delighting family's since 1999. The Newport Aquarium is always on lists of best aquariums in the country.

#3 on our list is Snowball and Snowflake the two Albino Alligators. Albino Alligators are all white alligators and these two Newport residences are two of only around 100 in the world.
#2 on our list of things to love about the Newport Aquarium are the Ray Sharks. Ray Sharks have human like eyes, dinosaur like bumps on their backs and are broad like a stingray. The Newport Aquarium is the first aquarium to successfully breed the Ray Sharks.
