Drenthe, Netherlands. Visiting a beautiful European corner is the dream of every person, but before making a choice, you can watch videos that are shot from a bird's eye view of a beautiful Dutch place - Drenthe, see through drone footage in 4k landscapes and natural attractions that can inspire travel .
general information
The provincial city of Drenthe in the Netherlands is located in the northeastern part, and partially borders with Germany. The region is distinguished not only by its geographical position, but also by the fact that it is in this area that many minerals are located, as well as natural gas is being extracted, mainly the local population is involved in this area.
Capital
The capital of the region is Assen, with a population of more than 64 thousand people, and successfully continues to develop in the industry (construction of dairies, rehabilitation medical centers). Principal cities: Assen, Emmen, Meppel, Coevorden
Assen is not the most touristic center, but in the autumn it becomes a bustling place with Latin American dance festivals, as well as many cycling competitions.
Emmen is a rather rural area in the Drenthe region, although it is a small provincial town, people love to live in it and develop it. There is no tourism potential in it, but the town hall, the market square are the main city attractions.
Meppel is the smallest of all cities in the region, but its most important asset is the port area through which important ships pass.
Coevorden is a southern province that just has tourism potential and attractions that are of interest to many visiting tourists.
What to see
Basically, Drenthe can be seen in a few days, since there are few places in the province that attract a vast mass of tourists. But, the most important part, which is worth taking time for, is the zoo, which also combines one of the largest amusement parks, home to many animals that enjoy a comfortable African climate.
Of course, it is worth it for car enthusiasts and speed lovers to go to Assen and visit the Grand Prix in motorcycle racing.
And for those people who want to get closer to nature, the ideal solution would be a trip to the Drenche AA valley.

Museum of Printing in Meppel, where you can learn about the history of printing, printing presses, as well as how books were printed.

Winterwijk lies in the easternmost part of the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. The center of the town is small, there are Jacobskerk church and market every Friday morning.

Treinreis door de sneeuw van Zutphen naar Winterswijk 🇳🇱☃️ - Rail Away 🚞
In deze Nederlandse sneeuwaflevering reizen we per Arriva-trein van Zutphen via Vorden en Ruurlo naar Winterswijk in de Gelderse Achterhoek. Deze uitzending van Rail Away zal voor het eerst te zien zijn op 26 december op NPO2:
Winter in Nederland betekent ook een behoorlijke uitdaging voor Arriva en ProRail. Met de winterdienstregeling valt een deel van de treinen uit, terwijl andere treinen worden verlengd.
Het traject tussen Zutphen en Winterswijk werd onder meer aangelegd ten behoeve van beter transport voor de textielindustrie. Vanuit Duitsland werd over deze lijn ook steenkool naar Nederland vervoerd.
Strenge vorst en sneeuw zijn in Nederland -met het drukste spoorsysteem van Europa- altijd een extra uitdaging. Daarom staat op station Ruurlo een onderhoudsploeg van Asset Rail klaar om met branders en bladblazers de wissels sneeuw- en ijsvrij te maken.
Het reisprogramma Rail Away besteedt in elke aflevering aandacht aan bijzondere spoorlijnen overal ter wereld. Met de trein als leidraad maakt de kijker kennis met mooie landschappen, cultuur en historische en toeristische bezienswaardigheden.
