Wilhelmshaven is a town on the Jade Bight on Germany's North Sea coast. The Deutsches Marinemuseum traces German naval history and has outdoor ship models. Coastal history exhibits at the Küstenmuseum Wilhelmshaven span natural disasters, shipping and pirates. The Aquarium Wilhelmshaven has seals and penguins, plus a museum with aquatic fossils. The restored 1900s Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge spans the Grosser Hafen port.

Unterwegs in... Wilhelmshaven | Highlights

Wir zeigen euch die Stadt Wilhelmshaven mit ihren Highlights. Die Stadt am Jadebusen ist vielleicht nicht die Schönste, doch wartet sie mit einem der wenigen Südstrände an der Nordsee auf. Hier kann man außerdem noch ein wenig den Geist von Kaiser Wilhelm I. spüren, der den Hafen gründen ließ. Heute sind weite Teile des Hafens aufgrund des Marinestützpunkts für die Öffentlichkeit nicht zugängig. Einige schöne Orte kann man aber dennoch hier finden, angefangen über die fast historischen Südstrand-Promenade, über die Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke und alte Hafenanlagen, die die Geschichte heute noch lebendig machen. Also viel Spaß mit unserem Video, das wir von unserem Aufenthalt im April 2023 zusammengeschnitten haben
