Riding Gravel Bikes on the Rails to Trails Weiser River Trail | Weiser Idaho

We travel 90 minutes west of Boise, Idaho to check out the Weiser River Trail. This 84-mile long Rails to Trails route begins at 5500 feet in Big Meadows, Idaho, and gradually descends along the Weiser River to the town of Weiser. We ride an out-and-back gravel ride from Presley Trailhead (about 10 miles north of Weiser) to mile marker 21. This is the longest ride to date on the Poseidon Bikes Redwood gravel bikes. Along the way we spot two eagles, see plenty of cows and experience the breathtaking beauty of the river. The trail is remarkably well-maintained and makes for mellow riding. We'll be back to sample more of this incredible resource!

How to Find Valley Creek Hot Springs | Stanley, ID

Valley Creek Hot Springs was one of the last ones on our list to visit while we were in Stanley, Idaho. Since we couldn’t find a lot of information on this one, we weren’t sure what to expect. Unlike Boat Box Hot Springs and Sunbeam Hot Springs, which were a bit further away, Valley Creek Hot Springs is located right on the outskirts of the town of Stanley. Even though it wasn’t as interesting as the other two, Valley Creek Hot Springs is actually my favorite because of its secluded location and beautiful mountain backdrop surrounding this little place.
