Brian, Paige, Jake and Jen set out on weekly adventures and share them with YOU!! Our goal is to show you our adventures and hopefully inspire you go get out and create your own memories.
Our plans for the weekend did not work out, so we went on the hunt for a place to camp last minute. The only place with openings close to us was Wapakoneta KOA. We enjoyed our time at the campground. There are a few local attractions: Armstrong Air and Space Museum and the Airstream Factory. The Armstrong Air and Space Museum is by appointment only. The Air Stream Factory has tours Monday through Friday at 2 pm. Although we were not able to go to any of the local attractions, it was very nice to get out and camp.

Ohio’s Whimsical Temple of Tolerance | Local Legends | Atlas Obscura
Meet Jim Bowsher, who has been building the Temple of Tolerance in the backyard of his home in Wapakoneta, Ohio, for decades. What is the Temple of Tolerance? It’s a rock garden and collection of outsider art started in 1981 when Bowsher decided to build a place that encouraged people of all walks and life to come together and feel accepted. From a sculpture known as the “Bully Eater” to a tube filled with shell casings representing every man or woman who died in a war from 1812 on, the Temple of Tolerance is filled with poignant stories that touch all who come across it. After seeing the Armstrong Space Museum (watch part 1 & 2) I hung out a little bit longer to check out their downtown area and then I tried working out in Lima Ohio too and I did a 12 vt fan review as well Aug 8th 2020. Yes I have to live with having Rosacea, I have my good days and my bad days.

Visit the Armstrong Air and Space Museum, Wapakoneta Ohio
COVID-19 is still keep those of us from traveling. However, we chose to explore our own state and we have found such rich things to do close to where we live. This museum is by far one of the best places we have visited. If you are close to this area, we highly suggest stopping and seeing part of important history that has changed so many of our lives to date.

The total solar eclipse of 2024 was viewed in this video near Wapakoneta, Ohio, as the path of totality crossed over the boyhood home of Neil Armstrong, first human to walk on the moon. Temple of Tolerance Amazing Rock Sculpture Garden Wapakoneta Ohio
Join me on a stroll through the most unique 'garden' you'll ever experience. The creation of artist and philosopher Jim Bowsher, this 'rock' garden took 18 years to create. Comprised of carefully arranged boulders, millstones, relics, found objects and antiquities, the garden is meant to be a place of peace for all who enter. Everyone is welcome in this oasis located within an unassuming neighborhood near downtown Wapakoneta.
Pictures truly do not do this unique place justice. It is a maze of reverent rock temples interspersed with whimsical installations. In a time when words like awesome and amazing are too frequently dispensed, those terms fall short in describing the Temple of Tolerance.

Lincoln Highway | Neil Armstrong Space Museum & William McKinley Memorial
On May 17, 2022, I started my solo cross country trip on my Africa Twin Adventure Sport to get to NYC in order to ride the Lincoln Highway to San Francisco, CA.
I left Lisbon, OH and continued west on the Lincoln Highway. Traveling over 100 year old brick paved roads, I stop at the William McKinley Museum, but it was closed and visit the Neil Armstrong Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio before continuing on to Elkhart, IN.
