Here's the deal. We love to travel, and we love to be home. That makes for some interesting adventures.
Hey, Nick here! This channel started with us traveling across the southern United States during winter of 2018. If it were up to me, I would go full time in a heart beat, but the rest of my fam LOVES to do things that you just can't do on the road.
So, this is us - finding a happy medium.
With our new home base in Tennessee, we are exploring how we can do all the fun stuff of being home, along with the thrill of hitting the road from time to time.
We LOVE to explore this wonderful world our God created, and while we're out and about, we love pitching in and helping anywhere we can. We're using YouTube to chronicle our adventures, and to show little 'out of the box' things we've come across in our explorations.
We'd love to have you hang with us. Whether we are in the backyard rounding up chickens and goats, or on the road adventuring, it just wouldn't be the same without you!

For more information on this epic event, Walnut Grove, the Museum or how to buy tickets for the special reunion presentations visit our website Little House on the Prairie premiered on September 11, 1974 and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum Committee met for the first time October 10, 1974! The TV series put Walnut Grove, MN on the map and Laura fans were finally able to find Laura's Plum Creek. Laura Ingalls Wilder omitted the name of the town by Plum Creek from her book On the Banks of Plum Creek. She later apologized and wrote, I did not know I was writing history. We hope to see you in Walnut Grove soon.

We visited Laura's Living Prairie in De Smet, SD in 2017 and added this stop on our trip in 2020. If you're a fan of the books and show, it's a must see. Susan especially was excited to visit based on her love of the books as a child. We loved it!

Following the Trail of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little Houses
On the 2nd weekend of July 2013, we followed the trail of Laura Ingalls, by visiting her birth place, The Little House in the Big Woods, at Pepin WI. Then we headed west to Walnut Grove MN, and the Dugout House on Plum Creek. Finally on to De Smet SD to the Little House on the Prairie, and the 160 acre homestead. We saw some American History, and had a nice camping experience.
This video is a very short, compared to the weekend, summary of where we went and what we saw.

Called Walnut Hills Campground, it features 27 rustic campsites in a limited access portion of the large park. The Metropark also features fishing along the Huron River, waterpark and pools, paved hike/bike trails, Par 3 golf course and tons of picnic areas.
