Valmiera - eestlaste kõige sõbralikum linn! Selle sõnumiga pöördub Valmiera oma lähimate põhjanaabrite poole, kutsudes neid tundma ja nautima linna ja Valmiera piirkonna külalislahkust mitte ainult suveperioodil reisimiseks, vaid ka linna külastamiseks muul aastaajal. Ja tõepoolest - me oleme seda märganud - Eestist pärit reisijatel on väga populaarne sihtkoht Valmiera, kuhu nad regulaarselt sõidavad mitte ainult shoppama, vaid ka maitsvat toitu ja kultuuri nautima, turismiatraktsioone külastama ja ka ööbima, veetes siin mitu päeva. Kui käesoleval aastal on reisimine puhkuse ajal soojematesse riikidesse piiratud, kutsume eestlasi puhkama lähimate lõunanaabrite juurde - Lätti, siia Valmierasse ja Valmiera maakonda!
Kohtume alati naeratusega, sest naeratus on armastuse algus, kord ütles ema Teresa nii. Naeratus on külalislahkuse üks olulisemaid näitajaid ja kuna huumor pole nii eestlastele kui ka lätlastele võõras, oleme koostanud spetsiaalse veidi satiirilises meeleolus videolugude sarja. Seal selgub kõige eestisõbralikum linn - Valmiera, kuhu ootame oma külalisi külla!
Oleme kuulnud, et esimene sõna, mille eestlased lätikeeles selgeks õpivad, on saldējums (jäätis) ja tundub, et teie seas harva keegi ei tea, mis on Valmiermuižas alus (Valmiermuiža õlu)! Kuid kas teadsite, et Valmiera maakond on ilmselt ainus koht Lätis, mille linnapea on sündinud Eestis? Valmiera muuseumis toimuvad regulaarselt Eesti kunstnike näitused, restoranides ja kohvikutes on menüüd saadaval ka eestikeelsetena ning Valmiera tervitab eestlasi külalislahke tervitusega „Tere tulemast Valmierasse!“. Publikut armastab Eestis sündinud näitleja Januss Johansson, kelle etendusi näeme Valmiera Draamateatri laval. Linnas on ka tasuta audiogiid, mis võimaldab tutvuda enam kui 50 vaatamisväärsusega eestikeelse tõlkega, samuti on eesti keeles saadaval turismiinfot nii digitaalselt aadressil visit.valmiera.lv/ee kui ka suhtlusvõrgustikes, samuti ka erinevates turismimaterjalides.
