Number 1 Neighborhood in Valencia to Live
OK, I have lived in many neighborhoods in Valencia, Russafa, Gran Via, El Carmen, Penya Roja, to name a few. It is very personal and all neighborhoods have their own beauty and character, BUT for me this one checks a lot of boxes- Gran Via. It has beautiful buildings, cozy wine shops, several international and local restaurants, great shopping as well as quiet streets. I dont understand why tourists dont stay at this neighborhood. Yes, it doesnt have major historic monuments but it is close to everything, so once you see all the top sites you need a place more functional. Gran Via is so convenient and chic I just love it.

Valencia day trip to Wine Paradise 🍷🇪🇸
Amazing day trip from Valencia to one of the best wineries in this region
I came across this paradise due to change of plans and I did not regret it. However, even the most amazing place is not perfect. We took off from Joaquin Sorolla station to Utiel-Raquena region. It looks a lot like Tuscany or Southern France, but it is in Spain indeed. The winery and the poetic landscape was undeniable. The history and the tradition of growing the grapes and creating the wine has always fascinated me, but we encountered a few problems on the way.

Valencia is full of picturesque landscapes, historical sightseeing, and admiring views. When visiting the county, a traveler plunges into the atmosphere of relaxation and joy. This is the place when time stops, and a person can admire a lovely pastime.Valencia is rich in adorable views. These include natural parks and gardens, historical monuments, and spectacular art pieces. The country is the place that managed to successfully combine the heritage of nature and history with modern buildings. Thus, each tourist will find sightseeing to his/her taste.
Various famous locations have different styles. Here, you can observe either urban jungles or rural landscapes. When you pass along the streets of a city, you admire the sophisticated architecture of different epochs. The country has preserved historical monuments related to different centuries. Thus, the place will be interesting either for ancient or modern architecture fans. Nature lovers can visit a national park. After an intensive excursion in the city, a tourist can have rest sitting in a shady alley and admiring the picturesque nature.
The capital of the state is not the only place that is worth a traveler’s attention. If you come to the country for several days, do not stay in the city through your holidays. Leave a day or even two to visit the suburbs. You’ll open a completely different view to yourself. You’ll feel the taste of freedom and unity with nature. Though we first moved to France from the United States in 2019, we hadn't prioritized traveling elsewhere in Europe until this summer, so it was our first time vacationing anywhere other than France or the United States in nearly five years! From reading and collecting seashells by the Mediterranean Sea, to trying horchata de chufa and paella, to seeing the Sistine Chapel of Valencia and the purported Holy Grail, to discovering Europe’s largest aquarium and even getting a tattoo, we left no stone unturned! Remember to SUBSCRIBE to my channel! Originally a Roman colony and once the capital of Spain, Valencia is currently Spain's third-largest city. It's the birthplace of paella and is allegedly home to the Holy Grail itself. It is the third-largest city in Spain, but not yet overrun by tourists such as other cities like Barcelona or Madrid. Valencia is a safe and small city best known for its stunning beaches, unique architecture, and mouth-watering Spanish cuisine. This city is packed with exciting things to see and do.
With three UNESCO Sites, one of the largest markets in Europe, and the massive City of Arts and Science complex, it's a great place to spend a few days - even if you aren't going to La Tomatina!
Tips:
= It is customary to leave a tip in bars and restaurants - about 10-15% is fine.
= Valencia is a friendly city, so don't be afraid to ask for directions.
= There are few public toilets here, but you can use the services in the bars or department stores.
= Most restaurants and bars are child-friendly.
= The public transport here is safe and quick, although walking in Valencia is easy and gives you a better sense of the city.
= To avoid long queues, try to book the more popular attractions in advance.
= The Valencia Tourist Card offers discounts to many attractions plus free public transport.
= It is a busy city, so keep a close eye on your belongings, I did have my backpack snatched up while I was dining outdoor.
