CHIANG MAI, THAILAND (2023) | 10 BEST Things To Do In & Around Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai is located in the northwest of Thailand. We highlight the best things to do in & around Chiang Mai:
10. Eat the traditional dish Khao Soi This creamy yellow curry noodle soup comes with a choice of chicken or beef, and you can find it in nearly any restaurant in the Chiang Mai.
9. Tour the Buddhist Temples of the old town There are over 300 Buddhist temples in Chiang Mai and many of them are located inside the historic old town, including Wat Phra Singh, Wat Chiang Man, Wat Phan Tao, and Wat Chedi Luang.
8. Visit an elephant sanctuary We visited Elephant Nature Park near Chiang Mai, a sanctuary that is committed to education and rehabilitation of elephants that have been abused by the tourism industry.
☑️ Elephant Nature Park:
7. Join a cooking class We joined a half-day cooking class, during which we prepared 3 different dishes; a Thai soup, a curry, and Pad Thai. For each dish, there were different options to choose from for your proteins and flavors.
☑️ Chiang Mai cooking class we joined:
6. Cruise down the Mae Ping River The Mae Ping River is the main river running through Chiang Mai and offers a quick escape from the city. You can rent a kayak and cruise down yourself or join a 2 hour boat tour that takes you past beautiful scenery around Chiang Mai.
☑️ Mae Ping River Cruise:
5. Day tour to Doi Inthanon National Park Home to Thailand’s highest mountain, Doi Inthanon National Park is about a 1.5 hour drive from the city. The park is filled with beautiful waterfalls, hiking trails, viewpoints, and twin pagodas near the summit.
☑️ Doi Inthanon Day Tour from Chiang Mai:
4. Shop at the local Talat Warorot This historic market opened in the early 20th century and is a great place to buy clothes, souvenirs, local food and spices. Open daily from 6am to 7pm.
3. Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep The sacred Doi Suthep temple is about 15 km or 9 miles outside of Chiang Mai. The temple also offers beautiful views of the city and the surrounding area.
2. Drive the Samoeng loop This 100km or 62 miles route is a pretty easy ride with spectacular views winding through the Mae Sa Valley and the Samoeng Forest. We recommend making a few stops along the way: the Mae Sa waterfalls, botanical gardens, and the Samoeng viewpoint.
1. Chiang Mai Sunday Night Market The largest market in Chiang Mai is the Sunday Night Market. Starting from the Tha Pae Gate, the market runs along the entire length of the Ratchadamnoen Road from 5pm until around 10.30pm. It’s also possible to visit the Saturday Night Market or the Chang Puak Gate Market on any other day of the week.

Uttaradit Thailand trip
This video was made by students of the International College, Uttaradit Rajabhat University to show some attractions that visitors should tour in Uttaradit.
Somewhere at Uttaradit, Thailand- the hot, steamy barbeque meat was very popular at the night market
Train Tour Through Thailand 🇹🇭 ep. 3 - Unbelievable Uttaradit
We are Cindy and Eddie from SQUEEZEtheDAY!!! Let us take you with us as we explore the world, meet new people, go to amazing places, and eat the best food on earth.
That amazing food location our first night here:
After a short train ride from Lampang, we arrived at Uttaradit with lots of questions and a few concerns. At first glance, this really isn’t the place for tourism. We literally said that a couple times. However, once we had a chance to tour around on some bicycles, we fell in love with this town. We can’t wait to come back for another visit. And the best part is, it’s an easy ride to get here from the train.
That concludes this trip, however there are many more to follow. Make sure you like and subscribe as well as select the notifications bell, so you can follow along on our adventures. We would also love to hear your thoughts on the video, so go ahead and leave a comment below. And as always, Squeeze the Day!!!

I was NOT Expecting This in Uttaradit, Thailand 🇹🇭
Hello, sawadeekap! In today's video I want to take you along to see the kindness of Uttaradit and it's people. Just here for a day and I went to the morning market to get some fruit and breakfast.
To start off I got myself some dragon fruit. Definitely one of my favourites in Thailand. Next I tried the Thai lottery again haha. I keep playing every week..
It brought up lots of memories as I made some videos here before. The next lady I visited told me she followed me on TikTok which was so surprising. I got another delicious tea from her.
After I went on a stroll to get some cantaloupe where the people were amazing. They even cut my whole fruit in pieces. So friendly.
The famous Sai Ua was next on the list which is one of the best sausages in Thailand.
In the end I saw a few ladies selling second hand clothes. One of them knew me from the videos in Chiang Mai ha. We shared some laughs and food together.
Great visit here in Uttaradit. Lovely people! I will be back again soon. :)

Wat Sao Hin Laplae District, Uttaradit Province
Wat Sao Hin (Sao Hin temple), the name that the villagers call Wat Fai Hin, formerly known as Fai Hin, is located at Sri Phanom Mat Road, Ban Talat Laplae, Si Phanommat Subdistrict, Laplae District, Uttaradit Province
Originally, the villagers called Wat Fai Hin. probably referred to as the weir-hin canal from Khlong Mae Phong There is evidence such as Ban Fai Hin Kom from the south of the temple. The temple has a road cut in the middle of the temple to make the way to Wat Phra Thaen Sila At, so it has 2 sides, such as the church on the west road. Surrounded by villages and government offices
