Top 10 Things To Do In Valladolid Mexico
Valladolid is a city located in the eastern region of the Mexican state of Yucatán with a population of 57,695 inhabitants. Valladolid is located approximately 105 mi (170 km) east of the state capital Mérida, 25 mi (40 km) east of Chichén Itzá, and 93 mi (150 km) west of Cancún. The city was named after Valladolid, old the capital of Spain. The name derives from the Arabic king's name Balad al-Walid. The city was built atop a Mayan town called Zací, whose buildings were dismantled to reuse the stones to build the Spanish colonial town. Until the beginning of the 20th century, Valladolid was the third largest and most important city of the Yucatán Peninsula, (after Mérida and Campeche).

Jeanette Slagt, aka JC from Holland, Born in 1961 in the Netherland is probably one of the oldest female digital nomads that uses a motorcycle for her travels. Jeanette sold everything at the age of 52 because she became unemployed and decided there is more to life than being endlessly searching for a job and hanging around waiting for life to happen. She turned her life around and became a nomad.
By doing so she changed the perspective on unemployment and retirement.
She traveled through the Philippines (2015-2019) back to Europa (2019) onwards to Mexico (2019- current) where she and her son Arnan are on this epic motorcycle road trip from Cancun, Quintana Roo to La Paz in bajaj California Sur.

All you need to know about Las Coloradas & Río Lagartos in Yucatán , Mexico
Río Lagartos
It is a town in the state of Yucatán, Mexico. The town lies 42 kilometres north of Tizimín. Mérida is approximately 230 kilometres further. Río Lagartos is located at a lagoon, the Ria Lagartos, which is part of a natural reserve. This makes it an ideal place for bird watching
It is 128KM far from Cancun
It is 212.9KM far from Merida
It is 235KM far from Playa Del Carmen
It is 42KM far from North Tizimin
There are more than 400 bird species
The flamingos season is Spring in which you can see thousands of them
The tour cost is 350 pesos ( $ 18 ) including 50 pesos the lake entry fees
The tour is 3 hours of entertainment including seeing Flamingos , different birds , crocodiles and putting mud scrup on your body then washing them in near beach
Las Coloradas
It is an area in Río Lagartos
It is located at the northern coast of the Yucatan peninsula on a stretch of land which separates the Gulf of Mexico from the lagoon Ria Lagartos.
Huge salt evaporation ponds for sea salt extraction lie on this stretch of land, some of them showing peculiar colors due to micro organisms, like the pink lagoon Laguna Rosa.[1] Flamingo and bird watching is common here, close to a bio reserve. The town and the pink lagoons have now become a popular tourist attraction, thanks to Instagram posts which make the lakes appear much more romantic than they really are. The lakes are certainly intriguing but are difficult to get to without a tour or a hire car.
Tours can be arranged to see the resident flamingos and other birds, including a stop at the coloured lakes if requested.
It is not allowed to swim in the lake for 2 reasons
1- The saline levels can sting and the water temperature is usually over 40 degrees
2- the lake is a privately owned salt factory , salt is actually being extracted from the lake , dead skin can fall off while you are swimming , this salt is packaged then sold and later consumed
Important factor to find the lake color pink not another color :
1- If it is sunny so it will be pink
2- If it was raining the day before , rainwater will mix with the lake's and dilute the organisms that make the water looks pink
3- The more wind , the more organism move, making the pin color more brighter
