Episodio de 'ANDO EN TREN' (RIDING TRAINS) con el memorable viaje del servicio Buscarril Talca Constitucion, también denominado comercialmente como el último ramal. Este trayecto fue inaugurado por etapas desde 1892 a 1915, es el único ramal con servicio de transporte de pasajeros permanente y un sobreviviente de la desaparición de servicios de la Empresa de Ferrocarriles del Estado de Chile.
El viaje comienza en la estación de 'Talca', lugar que sirve al tren 'Terrasur' (Santiago - Chillán) y este servicio de Buscarril. Durante el viaje bordeamos el río Maule con bellos paisajes: viñedos, vistas del río, cerros. Las estaciones principales son 'González Bastías', 'Forel' y el final en la ciudad de 'Constitución', conocida por la Piedra de la Iglesia que fuimos a visitar para ver el atardecer.
La unidad del viaje es un buscarril 'FerroStaal ADit 250' construido en 1961 en Alemania. El tren tiene capacidad para 80 pasajeros y funciona con motor diésel. El episodio es presentado por el libro 'Iris el sonido de las caracolas'. Si te gusta lo que hago, amarás mis libros.

🇨🇱 Street Walk Talca - Chile - 4K

Talca (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtalka]) is a city and commune in Chile located about 255 km (158 mi) south of Santiago, and is the capital of both Talca Province and Maule Region (7th Region of Chile). As of the 2012 census, the city had a population of 201,142.

The city is an important economic center, with agricultural (wheat) and manufacturing activities, as well as wine production. It is also the location of the Universidad de Talca and the Catholic University of Maule, among others. The Catholic Church of Talca has held a prominent role in the history of Chile.

The inhabitants of Talca have a saying, Talca, Paris & London, born from a hat shop which had placed a ribbon stating that it had branches in Paris and London. The shop was owned by a French immigrant named Jean-Pierre Lagarde.

I deduced to walk and it took 20 mins. Walking along the route was straight since the city is set on a grid style. Block by block.

With the support of the Municipality of Talca, Chile and in collaboration with Agencia Cafeina, I had the most wonderful opportunity to create and pitch my own TV travel show and its pilot. A beautifully spontaneous program centered around meeting creative chefs, winemakers, musicians, barbers, spaces and gorgeous places, it was an absolute honor to host #Lugareslaraja - i.e. Awesome Places.  

Con el apoyo de la municipalidad de Talca, Chile y en colaboración con Agencia Cafeina, tuve la oportunidad más linda de crear mi propio promo para el piloto de un programa televisivo de viajes.
