Road trip from Moscow after Christmas holidays. Federal highway M-3 Ukraine
We present to you a series of our Christmas road trip to Moscow with a review of Moscow streets and districts. Earlier we presented our path from the Bryansk region to Moscow and our road trip around the center and different districts of Moscow. In the final part we will show our path from the Moscow region to the Bryansk region. This route can be taken in two ways. The main route is along the M3 highway, it includes high-speed toll sections. There is also an alternative, completely free, more tortuous and long route through the western regions of the Kaluga region. On the way to Moscow, we chose an alternative route, and drove back along the main one. The travel time in both directions turned out to be approximately the same, which is due to repair work on the M3 highway. In this video you can see how the repair work is going and how much it delayed us on the road. The light frost lasted exactly two days while we explored New Year's Moscow. The thaw has returned with low clouds and sleet. So, the main message of this video is not to share any beautiful travel destinations, but show the road and traffic conditions of traveling around Moscow and Central Russia nowadays.

In November 2019, we went to the Bryansk - Sukhinichi railway (section of the Moscow - Kyiv railway) to catch the yellow electric train ER9PK-132. This train was used to transport railway workers and therefore had such an unusual color for Russia. In addition, it was the last ER9PK type train on the Moscow Railway, which at the time of this photo was already in danger of being written off. It was impossible to delay, and the very next morning we found ourselves at the Berezovsky station, waiting for dawn. We successfully caught the yellow train, but besides it, other unique locomotives also came to us: ED9M-0222 - the last ED9M train in Russia, which retained its blue color; ChS8-048 is the last electric locomotive ChS8 in Russia, which has retained its green color. And several other interesting, but not so unique locomotives. While waiting for the trains, we learned a survival lesson on how to heat meat over a fire. In 2021, the yellow train was scrapped and the blue train was repainted in a red and gray livery.
