MAURITIUS ISLAND TOUR ON A BUDGET: Île aux Benitiers (Mauritius Road Trip Ep. 3)
In this video we’re going on a budget boat tour on Mauritius to the beautiful island of Île aux Benitiers. There are many boat tours available that can be quite expensive, so we wanted to try and organise the boat tour ourselves. We had heard that you can go to the dock in La Gaulette and ask the local fishermen to take you to the island by boat. We had to haggle a bit but then settled on a price that we think is pretty good for the value we got. By going on this DIY boat trip we got a private trip which also meant that we could ask our skipper to bring us to the spots that we wanted. We visited a snorkel spot, saw the popular Crystal Rock and then went to a more secluded spot on Île aux Benitiers. After our boat trip we continued our road trip to Flic en Flac where we’ll be spending a few days!

In episode 6 of our MAURITIUS ROAD TRIP we show you one of the many reasons why you should visit Mauritius: it's so easy to get from great mountain hikes to beautiful beaches in a short amount of time. This is just one of the many reasons why we love Mauritius, but it's not often that a travel destination offers such a rich variety of sceneries!
In this video we start our day in Port Louis and then drive to Le Pouce to go on one of the island’s best hikes to the top of the mountain that’s supposed to look like a thumb (it doesn’t really). After trying to find some healthy food in Port Louis, we then continue driving to stop 5 on our road trip the next day. And we were really excited for this one! We quickly fell in love with Trou-aux-Biches and for us it’s one of the best beach destinations on the island.

Welcome to My Mauritius Travel vlog.
We traveled from India to Mauritius.
Yes I have been to Maldives, and Mauritius is expensive than Maldives.
We stayed at a five-star hotel called Le Meridien, which is located in the northeast of the Mauritian Island.
Indian citizens will get a visa on arrival while traveling to Mauritius from India.
Best time to visit Mauritius is from June to October, we went in mid august and the weather was fabulous.
