Kaukolanharju Scenic Lookout Tower - Finnish attractions
In Folk Park of Saari (Tammela/Forssa in Finland) there is a legendary Kaukolanharju Scenic Lookout Tower. It is situated in the spot where Albert Edefelf painted one of his best known works Kaukolanharju at sunset in 1889. The height of the Tower is 21 meters (68ft) and it's the oldest tower made of timber in Finland......This channel is a conseguence of my interest in music making as a hobby. I have made these songs for my own pleasure and for passing the time in the way of learning something . Videos are made for those who are interested in Finnish nature, scenery, culture, history or Finnish way of life seen through various cameras I have owned. Some have been made in IOS. Walk around the city of Forssa, especially close to the Spinning mill buildings (Kehräämö) on the shore of Kuhalankoski that nowadays host museums, library, schools and restaurant.Forssa has a population of 16,494 (19 September 2023) and is the 68th largest in Finland. The development of Forssa into an industrial conurbation started when industrialist Axel Wilhelm Wahren founded a spinning mill on the shore of the river Loimijoki in 1847. Today the Forssa industrial community has been classified as a notable constructed cultural environment in Finland. In 1903 a party meeting of the Finnish Workers' Party, known as the Forssa meeting, was held in Forssa, where the party was renamed as the Social Democratic Party of Finland and a new party program was accepted into use. Forssa only became an independent municipality in 1923 when it was separated from the municipality of Tammela into its own market town. Forssa received city privileges in 1964.The depression in the early 1990s had a large impact on Forssa, resulting in economic problems and an unemployment rate that still remains high today.

Korkeat korjauskustannukset johtuvat osaksi siitä, että kaupunki oli tehnyt aikaisemmissa korjauksissaan virheitä, muun muassa heikentänyt ilmastointia, ja tämä oli johtanut laajoihin kosteusvaurioihin.
Vanhat kartanot ja huvilat vehreine ympäristöineen tuovat helsinkiläiseen kaupunkikuvaan ajallista syvyyttä. Uusrenessanssi oli rakennus- ja sisustustaiteessa sekä taideteollisuudessa 1800-luvun jälkipuolella esiintynyt kertaustyyleihin kuulunut suuntaus.
PYYSAARI. Legendaarinen ”Palma de Pyy” Ravintola on Työväen pursiseuran kerhoravintola kallion päällä, joista avautuu upeat merimaisemat Helsingin saaristoon.

The beautiful, culturally historically valuable, and magnificent villa of the world-famous soprano singer Aino Ackté is located in Tullisaari of Helsinki's Laajasalo.
Orange's brown neo-renaissance villa is located in a wonderful maritime landscape in the middle of a large, wonderful park. Numerous pioneers of Finnish cultural life, such as Eino Leino, Oskar Merikanto, Jean Sibelius, and Albert Edelfelt spent time here when Aino Ackté hosted it in 1904-1944.
Aino Ackte bought the villa as a summer residence in 1904 and used it until her death, i.e. in 1944. The city of Helsinki took ownership of it in 1929 and restored it to its original appearance in 1986–1987. The villa was rented from May to the end of October for small-scale concerts and cultural events, meetings, seminars, and private events, as well as for music practice and teaching.
Extensive water damage was observed in the building in 2011, but its traces have not been repaired. The building suffers from mold damage so severe that it cannot be used; the repair costs are estimated at 994,000 euros. In the summer of 2020, the city proposed selling the villa, but the proposal was canceled immediately.
In June 2021, the city decided to grant 2.5 million euros to repair the building. The high repair costs are partly due to the fact that the city had made mistakes in its previous repairs, including reducing the air conditioning, and this had led to extensive moisture damage. Old mansions and villas with their green surroundings bring a depth of time to the Helsinki cityscape.
The Neo-Renaissance was a trend that appeared in the second half of the 19th century in architectural and interior design and in the art industry and was part of the revival styles.
The legendary Palma de Pyy Restaurant is the Club Restaurant of the Yachting Club on top of a cliff, with wonderful sea views of the Helsinki archipelago.

Loimaa is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southwest Finland region. The municipality has a population of 16,018 (31 January 2019) and covers an area of 851.93 square kilometers (328.93 sq mi) of which 3.96 km2 (1.53 sq mi) is water. The population density is 18.89 inhabitants per square kilometer (48.9/sq mi).
Loimaa's neighboring municipalities are Huittinen, Humppila, Koski Tl, Marttila, Oripää, Punkalaidun, Pöytyä, Somero, Säkylä and Ypäjä.
First mentions of Loimaa come from the year 1439 but a parish was founded in the area already a decade earlier. The town was founded in its current form in 1876 as the railway between Turku and Toijala was completed.
A legend of Prättäkitti is heavily associated with Loimaa.
The town of Loimaa merged with Loimaan kunta (literally Municipality of Loimaa) on January 1, 2005 and with the municipalities of Alastaro and Mellilä on January 1, 2009.
The name Loimaa comes from the river Loimijoki which flows through the town.
The city is home to the Bisons Loimaa basketball club, 2012 and 2013 Champion of the Korisliiga. The club regularly qualifies for international competitions. It plays its home games at the Loimaa Sports Center and on some occasions moves to the Energia Areena. The city is also home to the Hurrikaani Loimaa volleyball club, regularly qualifies for international competitions such as CLvolleyM and SM-league.

The Sr2 is a class of electric locomotives of the VR Group. They were built by SLM/ABB and later by Adtranz and finally Bombardier Transportation and assembled by Transtech Oy. They are closely based on the class Re 460 (or Lok 2000) locomotives of Swiss Federal Railways.
The nicknames of this class are Alppiruusu (Edelweiss), Käkikello (Cuckoo clock), both referring to the Swiss origin of the locomotive, and Marsu (Guinea pig), from the looks of the locomotive.
In 1992, VR ordered the first 20 class Sr2 locomotives; later 20 more were ordered with 12 options. Finally only six of the 12 options were transformed into orders, forming a total fleet of 46 engines. The locomotives are used on both passenger trains and freight trains, and they are the primary locomotives of the fast InterCity trains in Finland.
Until mid-2010s Sr2s were pulling IC trains the classic way, but after Edo-class cab control cars were introduced in 2013, Sr2 units have been used in pull-push mode with IC double deck stock. Until introduction of new Sr3 locomotives, Sr2 has been the only electric locomotive equipped for push-pull among Finnish rolling stock.
As with all the Lok 2000 locomotives, the external design is by Pininfarina. The series were painted red and white, showcasing VR's InterCity colours, with a large V on the bodyside to symbolise VR's high-speed traffic. Starting from number 3222 the V was replaced with VR's logo. Beginning from 2010 and starting from engine number 3221, all units were repainted with VR's current colour scheme (green and white).

VR Group, commonly known as VR, is a government-owned railway company in Finland. VR's most important function is the operation of Finland's passenger rail services with 250 long-distance and 800 commuter rail services every day. With 7,500 employees and net sales of €1.251 million in 2017, VR is one of the most significant operators in the Finnish public transport market area.
VR was created in 1995 after being known as Suomen Valtion Rautatiet (Finnish State Railways) from 1862 to 1922, and Valtionrautatiet/Statsjärnvägarna (State Railways) from 1922 to 1995.
Altogether the group of companies includes 21 companies employing a total of about 14,400 people.
VR provides car transport services. Seven stations allow loading and unloading of cars on trains: Helsinki, Turku and Tampere in the south, Oulu further north, and Rovaniemi, Kemijärvi and Kolari in Lapland. Car transport trains stop at other stations along the way for normal passenger transport and is available as daily service to Rovaniemi and Kemijärvi and several times a week to Kolari. Finland is the only Nordic country to offer car transport on trains. In August 2021 VR will commence operating the Tampere light rail.
