Aachen in 5 minutes 💚 Aachen Cathedral, Printen & Tri-border area

Aachen is one of our top 10 cities in Germany and worth a visit. Aachen Cathedral is world-famous. And so are the tasty Printen. Aachen is located at the border triangle of Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Because of this location, you can feel Europe everywhere you go. We are theTravellers and show you Aachen in 5 minutes.

We start our Aachen tour at the city hall. It's worth taking a look inside. We continue to the Centre Charlemange city museum. On the way through the old town we eat some Printen. We pass the Elisenbrunnen - another landmark of Aachen. A little further out of town is the Lousberg. From here you have a view of the city from above.

If you're in Aachen for the weekend or even longer, e.g. for ERASMUS at rwth Aachen, it's worth taking a day trip to Monschau and the border triangle.

Sittard has a small historic city centre with numerous architectural monuments, including several old churches (St Peter's, St Michael's, Basilica of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart), monasteries and a few half-timbered houses. The central market square has many restaurants and bars. The city has also retained part of its city wall. The Dutch comedian Toon Hermans (17 December 1916 – 22 April 2000) was born in Sittard. He linked his name to a chain of Dutch houses that serve as a a drop-in center for people with cancer and their loved ones. For more information:

Sittard | Zitterd | Our hometown

This video is about our hometown in The Netherlands called Sittard. The city is situated in the heart of Limburg province, the narrowest part of the province, sharing a border with Germany and Belgium being only a few kilometers away.
Sittard has an impressive central market square with several bars and restaurants like Tapas Cantina, Sol Grill and Luna.
On this market square (De Markt) I proposed to my wife!
In 2008, on that same market square, we started dreaming about a trip around the world. 10 years later, we finally made this dream come true! ((2018 - 2020) So we left our beloved hometown Sittard. (only for a while) And came back in 2020.

Recorded at 4K/2160P with a GoPro Hero 6, Sony RX10 IV and a DJI Mavic pro drone.

Oktoberfest Sittard, The Netherlands 2023 | Day and Night Tour

The Oktoberfeest Sittard is an annual, six-day festival in Sittard that has been taking place from Friday to Wednesday during the autumn vacation since 2005. This event, inspired by the Oktoberfest in Munich, primarily features German-language music and brass music. However, on some evenings in one of the pavilions, you can also find different types of music, such as Dutch-language pop music. In addition to the musical program, there is also a large fair spread across various streets and squares in the center of Sittard.
