Small and Beautiful Lonza Fort | Best for One Day Trip | लोंझा किल्ला | महादेव टाकं | Aurangabad
This video is 7th episode of the adventure trip to offbeat destinations of the hill range called Ajanta Range. We are sure that most of you never even heard of the names of these places. All this is an effort to bring to you unseen offbeat places which is our mission of our Journey Deals channel.
Today (Day 4), we planned to visit Patna Devi Sanctuary, Lonza Fort and Antur Fort. Now we already have covered Patna Devi Sanctuary ( Today’s all destinations are nearby to each other.
There are many forts in the hills of Maharashtra. Some of these forts have been forgotten by the people in the course of time. Lonza is one such fort that has been forgotten by the people of Aurangabad district.
The valley south of Antur fort in Aurangabad district is known locally as Raju valley. There is a small hill called Mahadev Tak in this valley. The Lonza Fort still stands on this hill, separated from the main ridge by a ravine, testifying to the past. When you see Lonja fort near Chalisgaon, you get satisfaction when you see a different, beautiful fort. From Chalisgaon, both Antur and Lonza forts can be seen in one day by private vehicle.
It takes 1 hour to see the fort. Antur fort is visible to the north from Lonza fort. It takes 10 minutes from the base to reach Lonza Fort. The cave on the fort can accommodate 25 to 30 people. There is no dining facility at the fort. Perennial drinking water is available in 5 pillar tanks on the fort.
How to reach to this fort: Nagd village is at a distance of 20 km from Chalisgaon. On the road leading from Nagd to Banoti, at a distance of 1 km from Nagd on the right (second road on the right from Nagd) there is a sign saying Mahadev Taka. Lonza Fort (Mahadev Taka Dongar) is at a distance of 7 km from here. Pangra village is at a distance of 5 km from the fork. The road to the right from the village leads to the 2 km pond. On the right side of the lake is a small bush-covered hill, the same Lonja fort. The train goes to the base of the fort. (The road from the fort to the fort is unpaved.) There are steps made of cement to reach the fort from the base. We reach the fort in 10 minutes by this step.
