Sierra Vista is a city located in Cochise County, Arizona, United States. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state, near the border with Mexico. In 2024 the town's population is around 43 thousand people.
It is the 27th most populous city in Arizona, and a key component of the Sierra Vista-Douglas Metropolitan Area, with a population of 131 thousand residents. Located in the northwest sector of the city is Fort Huachuca, a prominent U.S. Army post that has been integrated into the urban landscape. The city shares its borders with Huachuca City and Whetstone to the north, while to the south lies Sierra Vista Southeast.
Sierra Vista is part of the Sierra Vista-Douglas Metropolitan Area and is approximately 75 miles southeast of Tucson, Arizona. The city is surrounded by picturesque landscapes, including the Huachuca Mountains to the west and the San Pedro River Valley to the east.
One of the defining features of Sierra Vista is the nearby Fort Huachuca, a United States Army installation that plays a crucial role in intelligence and communications training.

In today’s video I’m taking a look at the most beautiful towns in Colorado and the prettiest places to visit. The vast Rocky Mountains draw in visitors looking for a laidback vacation with amazing culture and attractions.
Enjoy a jam-packed day in one of the national parks or ski at one of the largest resorts in the country. Whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed as each of these towns offers stunning views and one-of-a-kind scenery.
Some of the towns on this list are lesser known and include some hidden gems. As a local, I go off the tourist path to find some unique and scenic towns to visit and with little tourist crowds.
From skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking, and camping in the summer, outdoor activities are a way of life in Colorado. The Centennial State is an ideal travel destination and one of the best places to visit for outdoor pursuits in every season.

Only 2 hours east of Tucson is one of my favorite places in the USA, Chiricahua National Monument. There are 2 videos from our first visit last year when we stumbled across this amazing place and this is the second video from this visit where I chose to spend my pre-60th birthday. The hike is now among my favorites EVER! In this video, we give you insight about where to wild camp for free in the nearby Coronado National Forest. Top 10 Hikes In Southern Arizona
Southern Arizona is one of the most beautiful destinations for hiking in the entire USA; from grand Sonoran Desert scenery, to rugged grassy canyons, to towering pine covered mountains; there's a little bit of everything in this magical region. A little note about this video: I did not include hikes like Aravaipa Canyon, and Cibucue falls; these hikes are phenomenal but they require paid reservations, I wanted to make a video featuring hikes anyone could just go drive and do on a whim.
