Huangge was formerly known as Fenghuang Pavilion, also known as Huangqijiao. It is named after the Phoenix Pavilion on a small hill behind the village. In the Song Dynasty, it was called Huangge for short. In the ninth year of Xianchun in the Southern Song Dynasty (1273), due to war and rumors that the emperor had lost his concubine, the five brothers of the Mai family in the Central Plains moved south with more than 200 family members and settled here. They changed Huangge to Huangge and lived in seclusion. It means Xiangfu Taige. According to the Mai Family Genealogy, on March 16, the ninth year of Xianchun in the Song Dynasty (1273), there were Maibi Rong, Maibi Xiu, Mai Bi Da and Mai Bi Duan in Zhuji Lane, Niutianfang, Shixing County, Nanxiong Prefecture. The five Mai Bixiong brothers moved south to the Pearl River Estuary with more than 200 family members. Encountering strong winds and waves, they landed ashore and settled in Maiwu Mountain. Later, they dispersed to Hainan, Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Dongguan, Nanhai, Shunde, Zhongshan and other places, and their descendants have multiplied to this day. According to the Genealogy of the Xiaolanmai Clan: The ancestors of Bida went to Huangge and Lixiang (Mountain) donated 100,000 yuan to build a stone foundation to prevent floods. Judging from the existing historical data, the stone foundation of Huangge may be Panyu The earliest reclamation and stone embankment projects in the south. Originally, there were the tombs of Mai Birong and Mai Bida in Shenwan Village, Nansha Town. Later, in 1994, when the Humen Bridge was built, the descendants of the Mai family in Huangge moved the tombs of the two ancestors back to Dahe Mountain (Plowhead Mouth) in Huangge. The contiguous Shatian area around the town was mostly reclaimed artificially over the past 700 years after the Southern Song Dynasty.
Originally belonging to Dongguan County, it was later changed to Xiangshan County. Huangge Commune was established in 1958 and placed under Panyu County in 1959. In 1980, it was renamed Huangge District. In 1984, the People's Commune was abolished and Huangge District was established; in 1987, Huangge Town was established and attached to Panyu County; in 1992, Panyu was removed from the county and established as a city, and Huangge became Huangge Town, Panyu City; in 2000, Panyu was removed from the city and established as a district. Huangge is located in Huangge Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou City; in 2005, Huangge was separated from Panyu District and incorporated into Nansha District, and became Huangge Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou City.

Amazing Shaolin and Wudang Kung Fu Demo and Temple Tour

Zhongyue Miao 中岳庙 in China near the famous Shaolin Temple is a beautiful hidden gem. A real contrast to the busy and commercial Shaolin Temple, it is a prime example of a working ancient Daoist Temple, over 2,000 years old, still in use today.
This video has a quick temple tour and an amazing Kung Fu demonstration on the Temple grounds.
It's a unique demonstration because it has groups of Shaolin Kung Fu and Daoist, Wudang style performers together cooperating in the same event. It's interesting to see the hard Shaolin style together with the softer, flowing Daoist style of Kung Fu. This isn't on Wudang mountain, but the Daoist Kung Fu Style is influenced or has elements from Wudang. The Shaolin Temple is very close by, so the Shaolin performers are showing many typical Shaolin feats of technique, acrobatics and strength.

Brief Introduction to Zhongyue Temple

Zhongyue Temple is a Taoist temple located at the southern foot of Taishi Mountain, a range of Mount Songshan in central China. Covering a total area of 110,000 square meters, it is the largest and best preserved ancient architectural complex among all the buildings located on the China's Five Great Mountains (Mount Hengshan in north, Mount Hengshan in the south, Mount Tai in the east, Mount Huashan in the west, and Songshan Mountain in the central). As a major scenic spot in Mount Songshan National Park, Zhongyue Temple was included into World Heritage List by UNESCO in 2010.
Originally constructed in Qin Dynasty (221BC-207BC) as a sacred place where to worship the god of Mount Songshan, Zhongyue Temple was flourished in Western Han Dynasty (260BC-9AD) after Emperor Hanwu offered sacrifice to Mount Songshan and left behind an additional temple, namely Taishi Temple. In Northern Wei Dynasty (386-557), Zhongyue Temple turned to a Taoist temple. Favored by many emperors, it was sequentially enlarged and renovated in different dynasties. The present buildings were renovated in Qing Dynasty (1944-1911) according to the style of imperial palace.

Highlights in Zhongyue Temple

Zhongyue Temple has a total of more than 400 buildings with 11 major buildings standing along the central axis, which spans over 650 meters. From south to north, from low to high, the main buildings are the First Gate of China, Yaosen Pavilion, Tianzhong Palace, Pei Tian Zuo Zhen Memorial Archway, Chongsheng Gate, Huasan Gate, Junji Gate, Song Gao Jun Ji Memorial Archway, Junji Palace, Bedding Palace and Royal Study.

---Towering Cypress Trees

There are more than 2900 cypress trees in Zhongyue Temple. About 330 of them were planted in between Han Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. About 2600 trees were planted after the founding of PRC. These cypress trees give the temple an exceptional air of tranquility.

Towering cypress tress can be seen everywhere in Zhongyue Temple.

---Temple Fair

It is a tradition in Dengfeng to hold the temple fair every year on the tenth day of the third month and tenth day of the tenth month in Chinese lunar calendar. Some customaries are still popular today such as tethering clay baby'' for women who wish for a baby and ''touching the ironman'' for children to dispel sickness. During the temple fair, people will have activities such as Lion Dance and Fire Dragon Dance.

Secret Hidden Chinese Inn on the Wudang mountain | VLOG 52 | Return to Wudang

Today it's my break day from training. One of my Chinese friends invites me up to a small Chinese Inn on Wudang Mountain. It was REALLY off the beaten path, we had to hike quite a ways to get there, but it was extremely peaceful. A perfect way to recharge for my next week of training.

Zhangzhou, Fujian🇨🇳 Ancient City of Southern Fujian for Thousands of Years (4K HDR)

Zhangzhou (漳州), located in Fujian Province (福建省), China, is a prefecture-level city known for its rich history and cultural significance. It occupies the southeast corner of Fujian, facing the Taiwan Strait and surrounding the prefecture of Xiamen (厦门). The city's name, Zhangzhou, comes from its historical status as the seat of the imperial Zhang Prefecture. It is also known by other romanizations such as Changchow.

Geographically, Zhangzhou lies on the banks of the Jiulong River, approximately 35 miles from central Xiamen, with which it forms a single urbanized area. The city enjoys a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate, characterized by mild to warm winters and long, hot, and humid summers.

As of the 2020 census, Zhangzhou had a population of over 5 million people. The city's economy has historically been centered around silk, brick, and sugar production, and it remains a center of trade and industry today. Zhangzhou is also noted for its dialect, part of the Southern Min branch of Min Chinese, though Mandarin is used for government, education, and official business.

The city's administrative divisions include four urban districts and seven counties, such as Xiangcheng District (芗城区) and Longwen District (龙文区). Zhangzhou's rich history includes being a prosperous city during the early Qing dynasty, serving as a primary Fujianese port for trade with Portuguese Macao and Spanish Manila. The city has also been a center for traditional medicine, with the invention of Babao seal paste by druggist Wei Changan in 1673.

Transportation in Zhangzhou is facilitated by two passenger stations, serving both the older Yingtan–Xiamen Railway and the high-speed Xiamen–Shenzhen Railway. The city is also home to Minnan Normal University and Tenfu Tea College, contributing to its educational landscape.

Notable residents from Zhangzhou include Chen Yuanguang, a leader in the sinicization of Fujian and northern Guangdong, and Lim Gu Tong, an international author and cultural ambassador. Zhangzhou maintains sister city relationships with several cities worldwide, reflecting its global connections and cultural exchange.

China 2015

The most amazing month in China, with the most amazing people.

Hong Kong - Yangshuo - Chengdu - Xi'an - Shaolin - Beijing - Moganshan - Fujian - Macau

Getting speed trains from Guangzhou to nearby cities

Guangzhou is the third largest city in China, also it's the capital of Guangdong province. It's served as the transportation hub and landing point. Lots of people who come to Guangzhou might want to visit factories in the nearby cities. How to get to the other cities to Guangzhou?
My name is meibo, I am gonna show you how to take the train to different places in this video. If you are watcing this video, consider subscribe.

Guangzhou is about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong and 145 km (90 mi) north of Macau, extends into the neighboring cities of Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan and Shenzhen, forming one of the largest urban agglomerations on the planet.

There are three train stations, guangzhou railway station, guangzhou east , guangzhou south.
The best way to go to and from the station by public transportation is by taxi or subway.
Guangzhou Train Station is one of the biggest stations in China and mostly for slow regular trains and long distance travel, also have some trains go to Hong Kong/Shenzhen. It is a big old station in the west central city area. Try to avoid guangzhou railway station if you can, its old and has a lot of people. The train station i like to use is guangzhou east station. The station is in the city center and also in tianhe business district. There are also restaurants (like Starbucks & McDonald), hotels and shops in or around the square. sometimes, i go the restaurants there before or after i am getting the train.Note that these lines get packed from about 7:30 am to 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

It is heavily used by tourists and business people from Hong Kong who come via the Luohu Border Port. They take the high-speed train at Shenzhen Station and access the metro below to travel in the city or to go to the airport and train stations. The fast train to Luohu, Shenzhen is the busiest route by far and one of the busiest in the whole country. from 06:30 to 22:45. There is a train every 15 to 30 minutes, and it takes about 1 hour and 12 minutes. and you go get to Cross Border Guangzhou East — Hung Hom Station 红磡站, Hong Kong Z-class trains, 2 hours to cover 182 kilometers, 210 HKD (27 USD) See Guangzhou to Hong Kong Through Trains.

Guangzhou South : The problem with Guangzhou South however is that it takes longer to reach it from central Guangzhou where most tourists and business people want to go.This station is only about 10 kilometers away, and it would seem that going by subway is quick and fast, but it isn't. Journey time by metro is about 40 minutes (4 RMB). Taking the taxi is faster and less stressful.

This train station also goes to shenzhen and honkong, Futian Station and Shenzhen North: There are now very fast bullet trains that take about 33 minutes to Shenzhen North and 50 minutes to Futian Station. Those going to the Canton Trade Fair or Chimelong Resort/Safari Park might find it convenient since it can now be accessed directly from the Shenzhen Futian financial district. Guangzhou - Shenzhen - Hong Kong High Speed Train will open in the third quarter of 2018, by then Hong Kong can be reached within 48 minutes。 All the train to shenzhen stops in dong guan.

Here is quick way to get from Guangzhou to Macau and Zhuhai and for going to/from Chimelong Resort or the Canton Fair from there. If you going to cities like zhongshan or jiangmen, this train stops in a few places in those cities.
Here are the address for the stations:
Guangzhou Railway Station/广州火车站
Address: 159 Huanshi Xilu, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou 越秀区环市西路159号

Martial Arts Magic at Hengdian World Studios

Hengdian World Studios, located in Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province, China, is a famous film and television production base known for its retro-style architecture and extensive use of various shooting locations. In this film studio, performing light skill is an important skill that is often used in martial arts scenes.

Light skill refers to a skill that demonstrates special effects such as leaping and flipping through body coordination and flexible movements. In Hengdian World Studios, actors who perform light skills require long-term training and practice to master various movements and techniques. They usually perform at high places such as cliffs and rooftops to create a suspenseful and thrilling effect.

In addition to performing light skills, Hengdian World Studios is also a comprehensive film and television production base that integrates filming, production, and post-production. Here, producers and directors can find various types of locations and props to facilitate the production of film and television works.
