Islamic Revolution Street (former name: Shahreza Street) is a west-east street and one of the most important and central streets in Tehran with a length of 5 km, which starts from the west of Enqelab Square and follows Azadi Street and on the east side in Imam Hossein Square. And the beginning of Damavand Street ends. The northern part of this street belongs to the municipality of District 6 and the southern part belongs to the municipality of District 11.
Due to the location of the University of Tehran and the large bookstores and publications next to it, this street is one of the most important streets in Tehran, which is one of the main streets in the city for marches and one of the centers of street gatherings. Before the Islamic Revolution, this street was called Shahreza Street in memory of Reza Shah Pahlavi.
Imam Hossein metro stations (at the beginning of the street), Government Gate, Ferdowsi Square, Shahr Theater, and Islamic Revolution Square are located on this street.
خیابان انقلاب اسلامی (نام پیشین: خیابان شاهرضا) خیابانی غربی-شرقی و یکی از خیابان‌های مهم و مرکزی شهر تهران به درازای ۵ کیلومتر است که از سوی غرب از میدان انقلاب و در دنبالهٔ خیابان آزادی آغاز شده و در سوی شرقی در میدان امام حسین و آغاز خیابان دماوند پایان می‌یابد. قسمت شمالی این خیابان مربوط به شهرداری منطقه ۶ و قسمت جنوبی آن مربوط به شهرداری منطقه ۱۱ می‌باشد.
این خیابان به‌علت جای‌گرفتن دانشگاه تهران و فروشگاه‌های بزرگ کتاب و نشریات در کنارهٔ آن، از خیابان‌های مهم تهران است که یکی از خیابان‌های اصلی شهر در راهپیمایی‌ها و از کانون‌های گردهمایی‌های خیابانی به‌شمار می‌آید. این خیابان پیش از انقلاب اسلامی به یادبود رضا شاه پهلوی، خیابان شاهرضا نامیده می‌شد.
ایستگاه های مترو امام حسین (در ابتدای خیابان)، دروازه دولت، میدان فردوسی، تئاتر شهر، و میدان انقلاب اسلامی در این خیابان قرار دارند.

Also known as the City of Rain (شهر باران, Ŝahre Bārān), it had a population of 956,971 as of the 2016 census[3] and is the most densely populated city of Iran.
Rasht is the largest city on Iran's Caspian Sea coast. Due to being between the coast and the mountains, the local environment is rainy with humid subtropical and mediterranean influences. It also has temperate rainforest to its south, contrasting to the mostly arid Iran. It is a major trade center between Caucasia, Russia, and Iran using the port of Bandar-e Anzali. Rasht is also a major tourist center with the resort of Masouleh in the adjacent mountains and the beaches of Caspian as some of the major attractions.
Historically, Rasht was a major transport and business center which connected Iran to Russia and the rest of Europe, and because of this was known as the Gate of Europe. The city has a history that goes back to the 13th century but its modern history dates back to the Safavid era during which Rasht was a major silk trade center with numerous textile workshops.Rasht was first mentioned in historical documents in 682 CE, but it is certainly older than this and appears on the Peutinger Map of late antiquity. It has seen the Sassanid era, the armies of Peter the Great and later Russian rulers, and British colonialism. The people of Rasht also played a major role in the Constitutional Revolution of Iran.
The name Rasht comes most plausibly from the verb reshtan, weaving. Rasht has, along with regions around Tabriz and Tehran, one of the earliest industry plants during the last quarter of the 19th century, prominently in fields such as fishing, caviar production, the Caspian sea oil pipeline construction and textiles. During the 20th century, until the mid-70s, Gilan and the Rasht region was the third-ranking industrial city in Iran by number of workers and per capital productivity. It lost its cultural and industrial status to a large extent after the 1970s.
