Cluj-Napoca is one of the most important cities in Romania and in Europe. This 2000 year old city has a vibrant present, an interesting past, and a promising future. In this video, I am going to tell you guys top 10 interesting facts about Cluj.
And we are starting Right Now!!
Before we start with top 10 facts, let me tell you some basic facts about Cluj.
Cluj-Napoca is situated in the northwest part of Romania. In the heart of the Transylvanian region. It is also called the unofficial capital of Transylvania, treasure city of Transylvania. Cluj is second highest populated city in Romania after Bucharest with a population of around 3,25,000 people. Cluj is a rising city in education, industry, and business. Cluj is famous for its vibrant nightlife, street food festival, music festivals such as the Untold and Electric castle. So, let's begin with the top 10 interesting
facts.
1. European Youth Forum awarded Cluj-Napoca the
title of the European Youth Capital and why not, there is a reason behind this which brings us to
Point no 2. There are 100,000 students studying in 11 different universities in Cluj-Napoca. Babes Boyai university is one of the highest ranked Romanian higher institutions in the world.
3. A survey published by the Office for National Statistics in Romania in 2014 shows that Cluj is the most tolerant city when it comes to welcoming foreigners. Cluj is the most foreigner friendly city so if you are considering relocating to a new city in Europe, consider Cluj.
4. Cluj is equidistant from Bucharest, Budapest,
and Belgrade. It is equidistant from all these three places
around 450km from these places. Such a nice location for a city.
5. Cluj has the best air quality in Europe. It has freshest air in whole of Europe. Can you believe that!
6. This one is interesting, no this one is scary. Cluj has, in the northwestern part of Cluj, a haunted forest. it is called Hoia-Baciu. this haunted forest is also called Bermuda Triangle of Romania . Legend has that there was a shepherd. He went to the forest with 200 sheep and never came back again. People have reocrded photos of flying saucers from this forest, people have heard bizarre voices of men and women. They have seen unusual shaped trees and stuff like that. It has called so much attention in the world
that famous celebrities such as Nicolas Cage visited this haunted forest. Don't worry nothing happened to him. But if you are someone who is looking for thrill and adventure, consider visiting this haunted forest in Romania. Romania has no dearth of haunted places where its haunted and this Hoia-Baciu forest is one of them.
7. Astro-Hungarian empire ruled Cluj for more than 100 years and that's the reason there are 19% ethnic Hungarians living in Transylvania and out of which 50,000 ethnic Hungarians are living in Cluj.
8. Cluj-Napoca is included in the art cities of the future as one of the 12 cities to shake up the art world in 21st century.
9. Cluj has been ranked 2 in 2016 by Forbes magazine

В сезоне Румыния 2023 мы обязательно должны посетить столицу Румынии - Бухарест.
Если не знаете чем заняться в Бухаресте, то в этом видео я постараюсь показать вам самые интересные места для посещения. Мы посмотрим на город в разные периоды года, прогуляемся по улицам днем и ночью, а еще я поделюсь с Вами советами что не стоит делать в столице Румынии, чтобы не загреметь в полицейский участок =)
Для первого дня отдыха я бы посоветовала всем туристам отправиться в Старый город Бухареста.

Бухарест — столица и крупнейший город Румынии. Он описывается как культурный, финансовый, развлекательный и медиа-центр Румынии со значительным влиянием в Восточной и Юго-Восточной Европе.
Бухарест когда-то был известен как Маленький Париж Востока, потому что он находился под сильным влиянием французской культуры и архитектуры в 19-20 веках, как и остальная часть румынского среднего класса, жившая в городе тех времен.

Valuable advice includes getting around inexpensive, getting a local SIM and cash local currency. Starting in Bucharest, we'll visit Palace of the Parliament, Dambovita River, and in the Old Town: Stavropoleos Moastery, Biserica Sfantul Anton. As well important landmarks like Revolution Square, Romanian Athenaeum and Arc of Triumph. In Sinaia, the famous Peles Castle and the Monastery. The Caraiman Cross in Bușteni on Bucegi Mountain. in Brasov, Piata Sfatului and cable up the Tampa Mountain, Șchei Gate, Black Church and Biserica Sfantul Nicolae, as well as the Prejmer Fortified Church and Bran Castle. In Sibiu, the Holy Trinity Church, the Grand Square, Council Tower and Bridge of Lies, Balea Lake and the Ice-Hotel by driving through Transfăgărășan Road. From Cluj Napoca, Union and Museum Square, Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania and continued on to Scarisoara Cave, Rosia Montana Roman Mines Gallery, Bride's Veil Waterfall and Lake Beliș-Fântânele. Salina Turda Salt Mine and Turda Gorge. The last part of the journey will be Timisoara to visit the all the local sites: the Liberty and Union Square, Botanical Park, Victory Square and Communist Consumers Museum. The last city we visit will be Oradea, including the Town Hall Clock Tower, the Citadel and St. Nicholas Cathedral.

Bucharest is the capital of Romania, the most populous city and the most important industrial and commercial center of the country. The stable population of 1,883,425 inhabitants (2011[6]) makes Bucharest among the major cities in the European Union. According to estimates that take into account people without home in the city, or in transit, Bucharest gathers over three million people daily. [7] Added to this is the fact that the localities near the city, which are part of the Metropolitan Area, have a population of about 430,000 inhabitants. [8]
The first mention of the locality appears in 1459, during the second reign of Vlad the Impaler. In 1862 it became the capital of the United Principalities. Since then, it has undergone continuous changes, becoming the center of the Romanian artistic, cultural and mass-media scene. His elegant architecture and urban atmosphere brought him the nickname Little Paris to the Belle Époque. [9] Although the buildings and neighborhoods of the historic center were damaged or destroyed by war, earthquakes, and even Nicolae Ceaușescu's systematization program, many survived. After 2000, the city experienced an economic and cultural boom. [10]
According to the 2011 census, 1,883,425 inhabitants live within the city limits,[11] fewer than the figure recorded in the 2002 census. [12] By adding satellite cities around the urban area, the proposed Bucharest metropolitan area would have a population of 2.42 million. [13] According to unofficial data, the population is over 3 million. [14]
From an economic point of view, Bucharest is the most prosperous city in Romania,[15] and is one of the main industrial centers and transport hubs in Eastern Europe. e city has facilities for conventions, educational institutions, cultural areas, shopping centers, and recreational areas.
The city is managed by the Bucharest City Hall, has the same administrative level as the counties of Romania and is divided into six sectors.
