Nirgends sonst lässt sich so entspannt schlendern, wie im Ortsteil Zürch. Der malerische Stadtteil gehört zu den ältesten Schweinfurts und zieht durch seine mittelalterlichen Bauten und urigen Gassen immer wieder Touristen an.
Weiter geht es zu einem der Wahrzeichen von Schweinfurt: Dem Schrotturm. Das markante Bauwerk – früher bekannt unter dem Namen „Rüffelturm“ – wurde für die Herstellung von Schrot genutzt. Heute können Sie den steinernen Treppenturm emporsteigen, um einen wunderschönen Blick über die fränkische Stadt zu erhalten.
Der Stadtspaziergang führt uns zum Museum Georg Schäfer. Bereits von außen ist das Gebäude ein architektonischer Hingucker. Im Innern erwartet Sie die bedeutendste deutsche Kunst vom 18. bis 20. Jahrhundert und die größte Spitzweg-Sammlung der Welt.
Wir bleiben beim Thema Kunst: Die Kunsthalle in Schweinfurth ist die letzte Etappe Ihres Tagesausflugs. Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst finden in diesem Museum und Ausstellungshaus ihren Platz. Das ehemalige Hallenbad beherbergt auf knapp 2.200 Quadratmetern die städtische Kunstsammlung und Exponate des Schweinfurter Kunstvereins.

Walking in SCHWEINFURT / Germany 🇩🇪- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Schweinfurt / Germany is a Bavarian town in the district of Lower Franconia.
The city is home to many students thanks to the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. On this evening (in October 2020) the city center is mostly empty.
We start our tour at the city walls (Am Unteren Wall), explore the market place with the old town hall. We see much of the city center like the St. Johannis church.
The tour continues outside the inner center passing the art hall of Schweinsfurt (Kunsthalle Schweinfurt) as we reach the Chateaudun Park. There in the Western corner of the center we can also see some of the city walls.
We return to the center and see some of the shopping streets like Keßlergasse and Spitalstraße.
Via Schultestraße we head South-West, pass the Holy Ghost Church (Heilig Geist Kirche) and are well on our way to the Schweinfurt Mitte Train Station. It appears we have some more time so we check out the Main (river) where some swans and ducks are waiting for food.
